  1. Even if the FPS was fine, the boot problem still remains.
  2. So, i tried that, selecting the GPU that's not connected to the display as Physx one. Didn't really change anything, as it was doing that by default already anyway. Disabled SLI: FPS in FFXIV ARR went from 100ish to 75ish. At boss fights from 50ish to 75ish, i know this is due to a wall that appears to lock off the arena. FPS in Witcher 3 went from 40ish to 45ish. So, seems like something is really wrong to me

  4. Hey there. So recently i added another grapics card to my system, it's the first time i'm using SLI really. I popped in the card, added the ATX4P power as recommended in the motherboard manual. But when i booted the PC, it got stuck. Either at the Motherboard Screen, the Post thingy with the blinking _ or the Windows loading screen. This is very persistent and i had no idea what to do, this issue even started showing with just 1 video card. Occasionally i can get past the windows loading screen, just gotta restart it often enough. I also updated my BIOS and re-installed the Nvidia drivers. Didn't fix anything really. So i turned on SLI, enabled it in the Nvidia control pannel, both are showing up in MSI afterburner and both are getting auto-synced up. It feels like the FPS i get with SLI are worse than without SLI though, and i'm a bit at a loss now. Any help would be appreciated. To give some pointers in regards to FPS: Playing at 3440x1440 resolution, Titan X SLI FFXIV: ARR, getting around 100 FPS, but drops to 50 just in battles. Witcher 3: getting around 40 FPS Both at maxed out settings.
  5. Thanks for all the answers, if the 5A works fine, then i'll use that and check if it heats up!
  6. Hey there! I recently moved from Germany to Ireland, so the Power Cable for my PSU doesn't fit into the power outlet anymore The original cable said 10A 250V, PSU is Corsair RM650 btw. So, I have another cable, it says 5A. ( This one ) Will it work? Some people say they power their PC with this Cable in the reviews. Or do i have to get a new Cable rated at 10A? From my google'ing i came across some maths, saying 650W / 250V = 2.6A. Does this mean that Corsair's orginal cable is just overkill? Hope someone has knowledge or experience with this, thanks in advance!
  7. Des some quick replies, and quite a handy-dandy site. Thank you :> Much appreciated
  8. Hey there, I put together this new Computer. The motherboard is a Gigabyte ga-z97n-gaming 5, and i was looking at Gigabyte's drivers list for win 8.1, but it seems there is no USB 3.0 Driver. Soo, i guess my question is, is this a new thing? Do I not need the drivers for Win 8.1? Or shall I just grab the drivers from the Win 7 list ? I know this is slightly off-topic, but Included some pics for those that are interested o: 380t, 4690k (H100i GTX gonna follow), and Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming (yes, this fits actually)
  9. Mostly RPGs like Skyrim, Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed, looking forward to the witcher 3. and stuff like Shadow of Mordor, Ryse. Pretty much anything except for FPS games.
  10. I'm sorry, i guess i should've specified. Looking at Nvidia GPUs since i've had bad experience with AMD in the past. What i'm most worried about is getting the best performance possible, i don't wanna compromise the viewing experience. Can one 980 handle all those pixles? Will SLI 980? How does single Titan X / SLI titan X compare to that? Sorry for all the questions, don't wanna end up regretting that I wasted too much money, or didn't spend enough and miss out on performance as consequence.
  11. Oh, actually not thinking of surround. Just a UWHD 1440p for gaming and having a second 1440p on the side for applications and stuff while gaming. So I'd have my games running on the single UWDH 1440p and browse / use applications on the 16:9 1440p at the same time.
  12. Hey there I'm not too proficient in hardware and all that stuff, so i'm seeking some advise. I plan on getting one of those fancy Acer XR341ck UWHD (3440x1440) screens as well as some other 1440p (2560x1440) monitor. That seems like a lot of pixles to me, even more than 4k. Would it be better to get a 980 or Titan X for this kind of setup? What about SLI?
