so i have this really annoying problem. i have sapphire r9 290x vapor-x, and when i try to install amd drivers it goes to black screen, pc freezes and i have to restart. i don't know what's the problem, i mean it works without the driver, i'm writing this now on the pc without the driver. but of course i can't do anything else. can you help me? i can't RMA the card.

ok, so i've found something really odd. never seen anything like this. i know someone was making fun of linus that he should do watercooled psu. i thought it was a nonsense. but looks like it is possible. http://pc.bazos.sk/inzerat/48304866/Predam-500W-vodou-chladeny-zdroj.php i really don't think that's a good idea. i would never buy it. and about the website, the text is not important, sorry it's not english. it's about the photos. what do you think? or am i just stupid and i don't know that this is common?

nope, didn't even touch ram voltages, everything is stock, only xmp on. and yes, i've done cmos reset several times. but nothing. the cause may be bent pins on socket as well. but i'm not touching those, and i don't really want to disassemble anything. slots are: green-black-green-black. i have first two (green-black) populated. but i don't see any performance decrease... so it's not that bad actually. -
noctua, the one i'm using actually. nh-d14/15 are too expensive. noctua fans ARE really quiet, i have my pc on table, right next to me. i use 3 noctua nf-p12 fans, 2 on cooler, 1 as outtake. without low noise adapters, and the noise i here the most is my corsair 140 fan and hdd.

i'd get aftermarket cooler if i were you. with that rig... gelid tranquillo or cooler master 212 evo.

i don't get the hate either. win 8.1 is the best win so far. i wouldn't switch back to 7.

i would try decreasing the clock speed. if it boots at stock speed your OC is too high

yes, 4 slots. but they are all working, tried with just one stick. so that's not a problem. and i don't think i've seen dual channel option in bios tho. so it may be board itself. i'm not really mad, that just means that i won't be able to use other two slots. thanks -

well, no. i bought them separately. but the thing is they worked in dual channel with asus board/amd. -
well, this is weird. a bought MB i have in signature, i assembled everything and i wanted to boot. but i can't. i switched from amd, sticks were working fine in dual channel before, it was asus m5a99fx pro. but it seems like it won't work on this motherboard. i tried every combination possible, both are working fine alone, and they work fine in single channel too. so what could be the problem? bios is the latest version. and i don't really think this is some huge problem, but it's just weird. i won't nor i can rma board or cpu.
