Linux has much more community support, which is better than official documentation as it allows users to show how they tackled things. Linux is also a lot smoother when using it. As a system administrator, it's much better performance wise for most things.
If you're being serious, the bitcoin market is A. very saturated, and B. not worth it. You'd need to find an ASIC miner that does a lot of hashes, most of them aren't worth running.
