  1. Hello! There have been a handful of times that I've wanted to buy games or items for canadian gaming friends, but I hit a wall because I'm American. What work arounds do you all use to bypass this issue?
  2. Anyone know when the pro carbon line is going to release?
  3. So I have two GTX 970s and am about to set up a triple monitor surround setup. My question is, is there really any point to plugging in two of them on one card and the third on the second? Or will the result be the same?
  4. He's going to try forcing timings then. Thank you. Would hate to replace two perfectly good sticks after they have been working fine over a year.
  5. It worked perfectly in this build for over a year until I upgraded to a 4790k from a 4770k and had to update the BIOS version. Now it won't even make it into the Bios It has an XMP profile and worked fine prior to this
  6. So a friend of mine is having issues with RAM in his pc. The dims work fine seperately in slots 1 and 2, but not in 3 and 4, but when he has them installed in dual channel mode, it won't even make it to bios. What could be the issue? Everything worked fine until he updated his bios and CPU hardware in his system: 4790k Asus Maximus VI Hero MB GTX 980ti Samsung EVO 840 250Gb G Skill Trident 2400MHz 4Gb x2 EVGA Platinum 1000W PSU

  8. Thanks so much! I was going to just google it, but I figured I'd post it here in case anyone else was having the same issues
  9. So I'm about to buy a new keyboard. Right now, I'm just using the keyboard that is on my laptop, but this gets annoying with gaming, so it's time to upgrade. But the problem is, I also use a usb mouse and the Razer Tartarus. I really want either the Corsair K95 or the Razer Blackwidow chroma. But the thing is, my laptop only has three usb ports. So my question today is, can a usb hub supply efficient power to these devices to be able to use them properly?
  10. I just purchased this monitor today as a little bday present to myself First impressions: I was in love with this monitor the second I laid eyes on it at Best Buy. Then I looked at the price tag.... $300? I was a bit discouraged at that point, but luckily, a few days later they dropped it to $249.99. The slim bezel and amazing picture quality were things I hadn't seen on many 27" monitors. They had it paired with one of Asus's gaming towers, and after running a few demos on it, I was even more in love. Unboxing: The packaging was fairly decent. Plenty of Styrofoam to keep things from moving around, standard plastic stuck to the metal pieces, etc. The only thing I found wrong with the packaging is what came with the monitor. Of course you have the power cable, which in this included a power brick (slight con, but manageable). Then you have the I/O cables.... This is where I found a flaw. The monitor is shipped with a VGA/D-Sub cable (standard). But what I found odd was that it also came with an HDMI to DVI cable... This monitor has three inputs, one VGA, two HDMI. They should really ship it with a full HDMI cable, as I had to frantically look around the house to find one that wasn't in use. Other than that one complaint, the packaging and cables are all on par for Asus and other monitor manufacturers. Use: After finding said HDMI cable and hooking it up to my laptop and finding a place to sit the power brick, I once again found that love that I had for it in the store. The picture quality is amazing, the anti-glare screen is very helpful (I have 2 sets of double windows,) and the size is incredible. At 1080p with a 60Hz refresh rate, this thing is a dream to game/stream on. After 3 hours of League and about an hour of Battlefield, I do not regret this purchase at all. I was also able to watch a few youtube videos upscaled to 4K without problem. Overall thoughts: I highly recommend this monitor. While it's no ROG Swift, it's still an amazing piece of kit. I actually plan on buying at least one more of these once I complete my pc build. Other than that, I would suggest going to your local Best Buy or other electronics/computer shop and check it out for yourself. Here's a few different links to it: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-27-ips-led-hd-monitor-silver/8767178.p?id=1218890757451&skuId=8767178 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236309 Thanks for reading
  11. awesome! Thanks for the quick reply I'm about to start my new build, which is going to have A LOT of fans, so I didn't want to do anything that could potentially fry my system
  12. I know it is highly ill advised to smoke in the same room as your computer, but what would the affects of vaping be?
  13. Have there been any updates on this yet? I'd love to see more about it!
  14. I'm actually a big fan of this! The main things I would suggest is adding a thin cardboard pannel toward the back the leg area to hide cables and whatnot I'd also love some USB/Ethernet ports as stated previously I would love a desk that has built in usb ports for charging my devices, and so far, I haven't seen anything of the like other than that, the main things I would add to it would be maybe some headphone docks, also mentioned above, and maybe some cupholders or something like that, to prevent water rings on the surface. But all in all, I love it! I would be more than happy to pay $200-400 for this desk, just depends on the build quality of it when it's finished Are you thinking particle board for this? or solid wood? And with A and C3, if you are going to have the back corners tapered like that, you need to go ahead and make them 45 degrees so that it can fit in a corner, not many people have corners that are that slight Also, looking back at it, I would also love to see a long built in monitor stand, maybe 4" high, with hinged doors on it for a privacy area to keep things and hide charging cables, etc.
