  1. Can someone share their exeperience with Apple Homekit devices? I have a bunch of Fiet electric light bulbs, but it's a chore to use them. I have them set up with Google home assistant, and i can say "turn everything off" when I go to bed, but for some reason it won't turn off every light. Google isn't the most intuitive for setting up devices. I have close to 20 light bulbs that I can control. This new tech is really cool, but as a older guy it is hard to digest everything. I am considering switching everything to Apple Homekit because I am more comfortable with Apple's privacy policy. The Fiet bulbs I currently have aren't HomeKit compatable, but they can use siri short cuts. How much better would HomeKit bulbs be?
  2. Looking to upgrade my MBP early 2015 to the Mac Mini with the M1. Where can I find some cool accessories for the MacMini? I've been wanting to get into video editing for a while, and the new M1 stuff looks promising for video editors (at least amateur ones). I've been out of the mac world for a while, and I don't even know where to go to browse third party accessories anymore. If anyone at LTT is looking for a video idea, it might be helpful/fun to build out a MacMini video editing workspace. Also, it'd be nice to see an opinion on how good of a workstation it can be - how much performance does 8gb/16gb of ram get you?
  3. I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) that I am going to use for online classes. I want to use a second monitor, and since my computer is pretty outdated, I'm not sure which monitor would be the best value. A lot of the new monitors that Linus reviews utilize display ports and usb C that wouldn't matter with a MBP 2015. I don't think I should have to spend 500 dollars on a monitor and only to be able to use it at 4k 30Hz. Can anyone recommend a display for the MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) ? PS - While the MBP throttles like a SOB, it still does the job -- so I'd rather keep using it instead of getting a Razer Blade or something.
  4. https://meh.com Meh.com is the reincarnation of Woot.com. The deal is only available today (4/15/16). They have the Pebble Time for $90 plus $5 for shipping
