  1. Ok, thanks for the answers, guys. I just reinstalled Far Cry 4 to try with the new card, temperatures are a lot better, leveling off at ~85°C with VSync off. I guess Sleeping Dogs hits the GPU really hard. I should have done more research beforehand, pretty disappointed by ASUS for slapping on a cooler designed for another card, but I'd rather not go through the trouble of RMAing it. I'll try changing the thermal paste and throw in another fan or two before playing some of the demanding games coming out this year.
  2. Hello good folks, I recently upgraded to an ASUS R9 290 OC and I'm a little (very) concerned about the temperatures I'm seeing. 15 minutes of Sleeping Dogs (Definitive Edition) and it's up to 94°C, fans at around 60-63%. Everything in the system is at stock speeds, I have two case fans, one intake, one exhaust, room temperature 19°C. Is my card borked? Case cooling inadequate? I know it's a hot-running card, but it shouldn't be this hot, right? Any help would be appreciated.
