  1. I know about coil whine, my confusion is that it never made any noise like this before. My graphics card was silent before I plugged in the usb cable. After I got an error it began making the noise. Thats why i feel like there is something more wrong than coil whine
  2. Hey guys, Ive been having a problem with electric noise. I've ruled out any physical vibrations from fans, etc. I've become really frustrated because ive replaced multiple parts on my system and the problem still persists. It started when I plugged in usb cord that had accidentally gotten damaged without me knowing and when I tried to boot up the system it gave me a "USB drawing too much power" error. After that happened, a distinct buzzing type noise started to happen when my gpu went under load. At first I thought it was my power supply, which was a corsair 650 watt. I went and picked up a brand new one and installed it - still makes the noise. After that I found that the noise was in fact coming from the GPU. I RMA'd the card back to ASUS and picked up a new 980 ti. After installing the 980 ti I thought there was no way the problem would continue with a new power supply and gpu, but exact same noise?? Do you guys have any ideas what could be causing this? Motherboard? I've already tried plugging it into different wall outlets. I really hope its just an oversight on my part and theres an easy fix. Thanks
  3. I did take a look at those and the NZXT one looked to be the best bet however the fans are not individually controlled.
  4. Hi! I'm looking for a good fan controller for my system. I plan on having 5 fans on the case but my motherboard doesnt allow me to control them all. I'm looking for a fan controller, either internal or drive bay mounted, that can individually control all 5. Preferably with some sort of software that allows me to set custom fan curves. What are your recommendations? Thanks!
  5. Im looking for it to go through my headset, not speakers.
  6. Heres the situation. I have two pcs on my desk, each with a monitor. I would like to have the audio from the secondary pc come through my main pc and output to my headset. The way I have it set up now is an aux cable going from the speaker output of my secondary into the line in on my main pc. Then I go into sound and select 'listen to this device'. This is kind of a crude way to do it, but it works. However it does not work well and it results in some static and distortion. My question is: is there any better way to do this that results in better quality/is easier to set up? Thanks!
  7. It does! Thanks for the help
  8. I cranked the fans up to 65 and now the temps sticking at about 70 degrees. Afterburner's auto must have them running too low
  9. I can turn the fan up and ill see if that helps with the temp any
  10. It may be but I don't know the best way to raise the temp limit MSI Afterburner has the slider locked for Temp Limit
  11. I have a GTX 760 Ti OEM and I have 16 gigs of memory at 799.6 MHz
  12. Recently I've been getting decreased performance while gaming. In easier to run games such as Smite (Similar graphics to League of Legends) my frames are fine. However when I play a game like Advanced Warfare at high settings, my frames slowly drop over the course of about 15 minutes. They start out wavering at around 90 fps then after 15 minutes begin averaging 80 and frequently dipping into the 60s. I previously ran the game at 90 fps solid for hours on end. My GPU temp climbs to 80 almost immediatly then sits there without moving. I opened up MSI Afterburner and looked at the harware analysis and noted the gpu usage was at 100% while playing Advanced Warfare. Ultimately I have 2 questions: 1) Is my graphics card the source of my problem 2) Is there anything else that could be the source? Thanks!
  13. [imgur](http://i.imgur.com/3z0Qbbw.jpg) [imgur](http://i.imgur.com/R6t3oVG.jpg) I know what it looks like but trust me on this. The pc stays pretty cool with the extra fan. I had never had an issue with it. When this started to happen I assumed it was overheating as well, so the first thing I did was pull it out, take off the side panel, and place a small fan pointing straight in. The thing was, the temp of the gpu stood firm at 80 degrees.
  14. I'm not quite sure how to attach the images
  15. I recently built my first PC with the following components: (From Speccy) Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1 CPU Intel Core i7 4770 @ 3.40GHz 30 °C Haswell 22nm Technology RAM 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (11-11-11-28) Motherboard ASRock H97M Pro4 (CPUSocket) 36 °C Graphics VG248 (1920x1080@144Hz) 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 Ti OEM (NVIDIA) 34 °C Storage 931GB Seagate ST1000DM 003-1CH162 SCSI Disk Device (SATA) 30 °C Two days ago the system was running perfectly. All temps were staying below 50 degrees under load. Yesterday however, games ran very poorly. The only change that was done to the system at all was the install of Titanfall, nothing else was touched. I launched Titanfall and got nearly unplayable performance. I tried turning the graphics to minimal but it remained the same. When I would move my mouse to turn my view, the screen would stutter terribly. Ultimately I quit Titanfall and tried a game I knew ran well and I had played for an hour straight the previous night with no problem, which was CoD Advanced Warfare. When playing on this game too, the frames started to decrease over the length of a match, my GPU was now running at 80 degrees, and the same stuttering occured. I opened up Afterburner's Hardware monitor while playing and saw a few things out of the ordinary. The first being "Power %" and "GPU Usage" were both reaching 99%. I do not know what those specifcally mean, if they are normal or abnormal. Please leave any ideas as to what might be causing this.
