Hello I work for two different businesses that need to share one desktop PC tower and I need help choosing one which gives the best bang for your buck without needing to build it myself. The computer will be used mainly for Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Chrome and some other pieces of software. The PC needs to run Windows 7 and last at least 4-5 years without needing to be replaced (upgrades like RAM and storage is fine though). I also work in the UK so ideally I would like to get it from somewhere like eBuyer or PC World for example and the budget is £360 max. I also don't need a monitor, keyboard or mouse. If it could be energy efficient as well that would be great as sometimes the computers get left on over night by mistake. If anyone could help find a great PC for that sort of money it would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Matt

Will this PC on ebuyer not be satisfactory for them though? I just need something quick that will arrive in time and unfortunately, being in the UK Newegg doesn't return any results for MiniPC.

The only problem is I don't have time to build a PC, I need to order a PC and have it arrive within 2 days. Also my budget is £300 or under for a PC and a copy of WIndows 7 for that PC.

Hello This is probably a stupid question but I am not familiar with Pentium processors. My grand parents need a new computer as their old PC has died. I have looked around and found this one and was wondering whether this is going to be any good? They only do web browsing, word processing and account work for themselves and their church. Nothing is really resource heavy but I need to make sure that this is going to be good enough for them for say 5 years. I don't expect they will update any of their software as they only get confused and frustrated, so it will probably run Windows 7 and software from 2005 most likely. Thank in advance. Matt

Where can I get a legitimate version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit to download online? My grand parents have bought a new PC but it doesn't have an OS on it, so I need to make a bootable USB with Windows 7. Their old computer has a full version of Windows 7 on it so I'm going to use that PC's licence key to make it a full version for the new PC. Can anyone help me out? I don't know where to go to get it, without having to purchase another product key. Thanks in advance. Matt

Hey guys, I own a MacBook Pro Retina and have in the past tried running Windows 8 on a separate partition of the SSD. Back when I last had Windows running I seemed to run into some horrible scaling issues for the high resolution screen I have. I was wondering whether anyone knows what Microsoft is doing about scaling things properly in Windows 10? I'm thinking of switching to Windows but not actually switching hardware, but if scaling is going to be as bad as it was back a year or so ago with Windows 8 then thats a big issue for me. I have tried looking online but a lot of the stuff I find are rumours and speculations which date back before Microsoft even announced that the new OS is going to be called Windows 10 instead of 9, so I was just wondering if there has been any new information about scaling for the new OS. Thanks in advance. Matt

The computer doesn't allow me to go into the F8 menu. The only options I can do is DEL (BOIS), F9 (system information) and F12 (boot menu), I press F8 but it just boots up normally, how do I get F8 to work?

Hello Well I came home from school yesterday to find that my mum has done something which has resulted in the monitor going black when you log into any of the users. The login screen shows normally and even when you're logged in you can still see the cursor but its as if everything has been lost. Apart from that I don't really have anymore information, my mum can't remember if she was asked to install anything, she says it just happened. Can something please help resolve this if possible? I can try provide more information regarding stuff in task manager but thats about it. Thanks in advance. Matt

Oh so because of import duties, the prices would go up and a similar service can't be achieved? -
Hello Recently I have been looking at the deal you can get on Massdrop and was starting to wonder why no one has been doing a Massdrop like service in the UK? For someone who lives in the UK, buying from Massdrop is cheaper but a pain with import duties and taxes; makes me wonder why no one has built a similar platform for the UK. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on this topic. Matt

I get the pop-up on both my Mac partition as well as my Windows partition. I found though that it happens more in Steam program more frequently then other places. I know its possibly to get viruses on Mac OS X but I thought it was much less likely than on Windows? I also have AdBlock installed but it doesn't do anything. Avast doesn't seem to work, compatibility issues in Windows 10.

Hi, my name is Matt and recently I have been suffering from porn popping up on my computer after clicking on a regular link. So for some context I use a MacBook Air 13" 2013 edition with everything maxed out (don't know whether that is relevant factor or not) and recently have done a factor format due to lack of remaining storage space after filling almost 500Gb of photos, videos, high fidelity music and a bunch of rubbish just wasting space, I figured it would be easily backing-up what I knew i wanted and just sorting through everything. Anyway since doing the factory format I decided to partition my SSD so I could run Mac OS X Yosemite on 300GB and the Windows 10 Preview on the remaining 200GB (as I am deciding whether to build a Windows desktop or buy an iMac), after re-installing OS X and Windows 10 Preview I have since been getting an undesirable website pop-up, adultcameras.info to be specific. This happens when I click on a link of any website, it has happened on polygon.com, steam.com and other websites which I can't remember the name of. I assumed at first that it was a bug I some how picked up since using Windows as that was the OS it kept popping up on initially but after getting frustrated not being able to find any sort of infections with Malwarebytes I started using Mac OS X again but before I knew it I started getting it pop-up there too. This puzzled me as I thought that Mac OS X was very secure and unlikely to get a bug or virus? Anyway I thought at first that it was possibly something to do with Google Chrome as that was my choice of browser for both OS's but then was proven wrong because soon after that the unwanted website kept appearing on Firefox also, and then Safari. After doing some research online the most logical and most likely problem stemmed from my home router and so went on to reset that in hopes that it would fix my issue. A day passed and then it happened again, so I decided to take my MacBook to work and leave it there so the only network I was using was the work's network, no luck, adultcameras.info then started interfering there. My mother has a Windows desktop at home and from my knowledge hasn't been getting any sort of pop-ups I have which leads me to believe that my laptops infected? I don't know what to do now though, malware software can't detect anything, resetting my router doesn't do anything, changing network doesn't change anything, resetting my browsers doesn't fix things, what else can I do? Would doing another factory formatting help? Is my hardware infected and there is no way of resolving this? Is there a way of removing things without resetting everything? Someone please help, I don't know how to fix this.
