Can you recommend a 1440p monitor?

When I wrote high end I meant purely performance-wise, but I guess the title is misleading. I'm going with the 8 gigs of ram and the i5 because that's all I'm going to need,really. same thing for getting rid of the dual 970s. I don't really care about the aesthetics, not enough to pay more for a great looking case.

I'll definitely be getting bf4 and hardline when it comes out. And is there really no reason to get the i7 if I'm using it predominantly for gaming?

Budget's around two grand, so I can go with with the 980. Would it not be worth it?

Realistically speaking, I'm going to play alot of bethesda games, and a few random titles, like the new battlefront when it comes out. would the gtx 980 be good for this build?

er Would I not need more cooling? and also if you could recommend case that could fit all this, I'd pretty much have my build. I made the ssd change you suggested, but upgraded to 500 gigs. I'm gonna go with this build!

I'd like to run 1440p for sure.

RPGs. Skyrim, New Vegas, ETC. (Bethesda fanboy) Also cant wait for battlefront 3 to come out

Is this build considered mid range?

I honestly don't know much about cases, or aesthetics for that matter, so your recommendation would be what I went with. Also, wouldn't windows 7 be better?

I can go a bit over 2 grand.
