  1. the small ones are better with memory overclocking?
  2. Gotta do it on a budget so I can build up some bank for the economic recession. Lmao. Hoping to buy my first house when the market crashes. I've been reluctant to go to a smaller MOBO for fear of lack of features, I enjoy tinkering and id rather not limit future options if i dont have to. That being said im not sure if dual atx will be an option.
  3. Howdy all, haven't been on the forum in forever, how y'all doing? Down to business, after several hours of enraged red bull fuled internet browsing, I've come up short. Looking to have two PC's with standard ATX motherboards either in the same case, or comfortably stacked, for as cheap as possible, using as little space as possible. Best I've come up with so far is the Cooler Master HAF XB EVO, two stacked. That's a total price of about $220 before tax, and despite overlord Trump's gracious gifts, I'm still trying to do this on a budget. Happy to do a weird server case, or odd test bench configuration, but haven't seen anything im confident in. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and have an awesome day. P.S. has anyone here built in the Cooler Master HAF XB EVO? I'd love your feedback/ personal experience/ build notes. Worth the price? P.P.S. yes I'm a cheap bastard.
  4. Just saw a rig on craigslist, i'm looking for a dedicated streaming machine. I'd like to stream at 1080p 60fps, my gaming rig can handle games at those settings but I cant stream settings that high at the same time. The rig is a Dell Precision 690 W/ dual xeons. Quad cores clocked at 2.66ghz (not sure if 4 physical cores or digital 2 physical) It has 16 GB of DDR2 memory Hes only asking $100 for it, and im willing to gamble a little. I just want to know if the multiple cores will make up for the lack of speed. Will this rig theoretically be able to stream W/ OBS at 1080-60? I can add a graphics card if need be.
  5. I cannot for the life of me find a bumper case that is both compatible with moto-mods and the moto z play droid. They are either regular cases with a backing, or out of stock. I have ordered the moto z droid case and the moto z2 play case, and neither of those fit. I have visited a few Verizon stores to try to find this particular case. Can someone please tell me where to find a case that works for my phone.
  6. but for real, can someone walk me through the process of fabri-cobbling that sort of thing together?
  7. I'm trying to figure out how to make an executable that will, when ran, create a new folder in the window I have selected, and name it after the text i have on my clipboard. is this possible?
  8. if its not a good idea ill just use em both for storage, thank you!
  9. Didn't get any responses on the original post, so i thought id repost it when more people are awake. I have a 230Gb hard drive and a 2Tb hard drive, is it possible to RAID together the 230Gb drive with a 230Gb partition of the 2Tb drive? Neither of these drives is a boot drive, and i'm hoping to use software RAID.

  12. Many of us know the struggle of having our ears slowly torn off by uncomfortable headphones. We spend hours gaming, take off our headset, and our ears rejoice, having been released from their bonds. What I seek today is simple, a pair of well built, and comfortable as F**K, bluetooth headphones, with decent quality sound, and a soft price cap of $75. And seeing as I am something of a dubstep man, solid base is a plus. Thank you for your help, and I hope the post made you giggle a little. FrigidNinja Edit, In response to the "LUUD" gentleman, "high fidelity" has been replaced with "decent quality sound", but I feel like "not complete shit" would also convey the same message. Im not looking for audiophile quality, I just don't want to hear transdimensional background radiation while Im gaming.
  13. Im looking for a low latency wireless headset for PC. I use a decent bit of sound-whoring, and timing is everything. Can anyone suggest a good one? I have a price cap of about $50 Thank you!
  14. Just got my first console, an xbox one. I got the controller that already has a 3.5mm jack, do I need the adapter to use the voice chat? also, what kinds of headphones allow both game audio and chat audio to play through them? Im using JBL S300's (the iphone model) and i hear both game and chat audio, but my microphone cannot be heard by the people on the other end. Thank you! -FrigidNinja-
  15. I work at a liquor store, and our door chime is very quiet. Additionally, i regularly have to go to the back room to check the temperature of our freezer, or to grab extra product. Is there a device I can use to receive a message on my phone when the door is opened?
  16. Thank you for the technical lingo!

  19. Im looking for an adapter that would effectively turn a computer power cable (not sure of the technical term) into a short extension cord. It would have the male end of the power cord on one side, and a female electrical outlet on the other. Im fairly sure ive seen it before but i cant find it anywhere. Thanks guys!
  20. I took the clock speed from 3.5 to 4Ghz, and adjusted my fan curve so it ran cooler overall. The game ran perfectly with no stuttering. Thanks for pointing out it was a CPU issue rather than a GPU issue guys.
