yes they are seated properly and the screws are all the way down.i just changed the thermal paste the temp still reaches in high 90c.my ambient temp is around 31c to 33c

what should i do? any ideas

i build this pc recently and the psu is new

System Specs: OS: Windows 8.1 pro 64 bit CPU: core i7 4790k GPU: zotac gtx 970 extreme amp edition MOBO: Asus maximus 7 hero RAM: corsair 16 gb HDD: seagate 1tb SSD:samsung evo 120gb CPU COOLER: Corsair h100i PSU: Corsair rm850 CASE:nzxt H440 My pc just shutdowns randomly with out any warning this happens while the pc is idealing or gaming i cannot pin point the problem. i did run memtest86 and there where no errors next i tested prime 95 my temps shot relly high up between high 90c to 100c with in a minute but when my pc is ideal they are around 40c to 50c when gaming or performing high intensive tasks they are around 60c to 70c.my voltages are all normal.help me guys

Thank you every one for your help and Thank you SkilledRebuilds for staying up so late and helping me. i will do a prime95 test if it passes,then i will RMA my MOBO and i don't have a spare MOBO on hand.I will update once i have a answer or another problem ....... if i don't reply to any post it may be possible that my pc is in RMA process and again guys THANK YOU

i did a memtest there were no errors

would a faulty MOBO also cause screen tearing,performance dips,stuttering,green screen while playing videos in a normal desktop use and bad performance in games like skyrim,sleeping dogs,metal gear risisng revengeance

what are signs of faulty MOBO

could it be cpu or psu related

yes there was artifacting on both onboard and gpu graphics i did a memtest but there were no errors

i tried a different cable but the problem still persist
