  1. Thanks fella, Thanks for the feedback, I am planning on using 16mm fittings so something to consider. The side by side picture also helps comparing them aesthetically. Appreciate the help. Cheers Marty
  2. Hey guys, Pretty new to the water cooling scene, I've had aio's for a long time but never a custom loop, but now I feel is the time to try it. Apart from the visual aesthetics, is there much of a difference in terms of quality/leak proofing? Is one better then the other? The quantum torque are more expensive, but price isn't always a good judgement of a better quality product. Just after some honest feedback, before I purchase some fittings. Cheers
  3. Hey guys, I'm hoping someone can help me out here, I've got the EKWB Velocity Strike WB and I was planning on using Thermaltakes C-Pro 16mm fittings. I've got thermaltake 16mm petg tubing and bending kit that I scored for a great deal, so I wanted to stick to the same brand for fittings. They are 26mm in diameter. My question is, will they fit????? Or will there be a clearance issue between the fittings?? I've measured the block and the inlet/outlet but can't get an accurate measurement with the tools I have, and the internet doesn't seem to offer much on this particular topic. Before I pull the trigger on the C-Pro's I wanted to confirm. Please see attached photos of each product for your reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated . Thanks guys
  4. Thanks for the heads up , I was planning on using a transparent purple coolant, in your opinion will that be an issue? I really liked ek mystic fog, but I've been told to stay clear as it's a bugger to clean.
  5. Yes, from the research I've done the D5 pumps are very high quality. I thought the price was reasonable, considering the ek variants cost substantialy more money. I was tossing up between the cylinder res and distro, but the distro looks far more impressive and offers a cleaner loop orientation for my case the core P6. When I purchase all the products needed to complete the loop I'll post it in the forum. Tha ks for your help
  6. I don't have much experience in distro plates, but your right it does appear to be a good quality product. Interesting about the the failures linked to user issues, I guess users still think that it's best to crank them as tight as possible, but this isn't always the best method. I'm in Australia and this product will cost me $369 aud, that's $244 USD. Everything in Australia has a high cost associated goods and services, hence why Im seeking feedback on this distro plate. Thanks for your honest feedback, it's greatly appreciated .
  7. Hello ladies and gentleman, Has anyone had any experience with the Thermaltake PD100 D5 distro plate? Would you recommend it? Any issues at all? I really like the distro plate but before I buy it I'm seeking some real, honest reviews/feedback on it. The net has Bugger all reviews. Build quality looks great, it's not my first TT product. I currently own the core P6 and that's made extremely well with high quality parts used and I love it, but just want to make sure the distro is quality since it's water in a PC and all . Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  8. Hey guys, Just wondering if an lga1700 water block from ek will fit an lga1151 socket/motherboard? Can't find anything on the web, any help will be appreciated . Cheers
  9. This was my other option, but due to the pump width with the mounting hardware it will end up hitting the gpu. But I've decided to use a 120mm flat pump and res combo on the rear exhaust fan spot.
  10. Nope, I mean Flip it clockwise on its back with the pump backing facing down on the psu shroud running the length of the chassis. You can buy brackets that suspend it and keep it level.
  11. Yeah that's a good point about the filling and loop maintenance, didn't think about that as a drawback. Thanks for your opinion, appreciate the feedback.
  12. Hey guys, I'm planning to create my first custom water cooked loop, planning to have one 360 and one 240 rad cooling the cpu and gpu, but I got a few questions about the pump/res placement. Just wondering if a anyone knows if the quantum kinetic flt 240 resivoir and D5 pump combo can be mounted horizontal on top of the psu cover? I cant mount it vertical or sideways horizontal (skinny end down instead of the face) due to space restrictions. I'm very limited on space with my current case the corsair carbide spec omega rgb. I can definitely fit a flt 120 res/pump combo on the rear exhaust fan but was thinking of other possible solutions for the nothing area under the gpu. If anyone has had any experience with these res/pump combo and could shed some light on if it's possible, and if so what are the pros and cons? Thanks Marty
  13. Thanks for this recommendation, I did a heap of research last night and I was instantly convinced, it's miles ahead of the others I was looking at. The picture quality is unbelievable, down here in Australia they are also the same price as the LG and the Asus I was looking at, $2300 so it's a win for me . Cheers man
  14. Thanks for answering my questions, cheers man, sounds like it might be a solid contender. She's not cheap but sounds well worth the money.
