  1. Oh alright, but wont those exceed the budget though?
  2. Budget (including currency): 4000$ Country: Philippines Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 3d Modeling, Blender, ZBrush, Premier, Illustrator Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): What monitor do you suggest? I usually build gaming PCs for my friends and family, but this is the first time someone asked me to build a PC optimizing for 3D rendering and modeling, both of which I have zero clue on what it needs other than more cores means more better.
  3. My Father owns a mac and needs it for his work. He needs expandable storage and not necessarily for the portability. And a NAS is too expensive to justify his use case. Specifically needs it to have a thunderbolt 2 port. I've been doing a lot of research and all external hard drive encloses I've seen so far have a usb/usb type c cable on them and not thunderbolt 2. If anyone can give recommendations that would be amazing!
  4. Exactly, it should. I've been going at this for a whole day. lmao
  5. I've tried old and new cables. All worked on the old system. I had initially thought it was undetected because it had windows on it already from another pc and that it was from an Intel build, so I formated it. But it didn't fix anything. Worst case scenario, I'll have to buy a new ssd?
  6. I've tried all 4 of the ports. Which is weird because when I plug my hard drive in, it shows up so the ports aren't defective.
  7. SATA, yes its the only one I have attached right now along with the USB for windows boot
  8. The board Im using now is ASRock B450M Steel legend. As for the ssd, Toshiba 240gb
  9. The title pretty much sums it up. But to explain further, I had just moved from an Intel rig (i5 4460) to AMD (3600) but for some reason my ssd isn't being detected on the amd rig. Even after formating the drive it would not show up on the windows setup, terminal, and bios. I can't seem to find any other source of how to fix this.
  10. nvm that didn't work
  11. Maybe it could be that im plugging through hdmi right off the bat? Should i start with DVI first?
  12. they stay on the whole time, same as PSU fans and CPU fans. when i plug in the GPU, same thing.
  13. I had checked on the motherboard manufacturers site and it said that it supports it. And also the combo was recently used in a video on LTT on the slowest gaming pc. Ironically.
  14. So i posted this on multiple threads such as on reddit but as usual, no help at all. So im turning to a community I always am fond of and hopefully get help. I recently had to build my mother a new pc since she needs it for work during quarantine, I had assembled everything and the pc runs but it doesn't display anything. AMD 3000G 8GB Ram msi a320m pro max mobo corsair cv450 500gb hdd ive reseted the ram, even switched it out for mine whoch work, and also did the eraser trick, and still nothing. Ive re-reated the cmos battery, and nothing. Ive tried putting my gpu (1060) in and still nothing. Ive tried my monitor that works and still nothing. Im fairly new to this pc building since this is my fourth build, but would maybe the hdd be the problem? since it is really old? Im just hoping there is something else that could be done other than potentially replacing brand new parts.
  15. its small. but noticeable, and you can fell them too she suspects it might be the spay thing the other people were using to stick things...
