  1. I just discovered a OEM one. But thanks for the help. I appreciate it
  2. Asus M5A99FX Pro R 2.0 I tried it again with a bios update
  3. So i made a thread before, long story short, I build a 4690K PC for gaming use already, but for work I needed a new rig since I benefit from those cores, I had all the parts except the motherboard, So I ordered the board few days ago, arrived yesterday, but the CPU won't boot, I tried booting with a phenom and it worked. So that means I fucked up while fixing the bent pins. So I did research and found a 8310, which is a OEM, i'm just wondering if it's good or not, same as the regular 8350
  4. Hey man do you know anywhere that sells cheap FX 8 cores? Cause I think I F'd up fixing the pins cause its not booting on at all, i changed PSUs twice to test, then I put a an phenom and it boots, but with the 8 - core it won't...
  5. Edited please read first post.
  6. I think i'd go for the 970 from MSI for the looks haha. Hope it doesn't have the VRMS blow up
  7. So it's a good buy for it's price tag/features? Not comfortable spending over 100 on a work rig haha. I'm considering this or the Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 for fan control out of the box, since I don't want the noise to piss of my co-workers
  8. Sawp guys. I recently build a 4690K as a Main Rig for entertainment and gaming, but now i'm looking to build a work rig, well for work. So i dug up some old parts in my garage and found a FX 8320 in there with a few bent pins which I fixed. I already have ram, SSD, GPU, and other stuff for it except the motherboard, since this is a work rig which I use Krita software (Yes I get paid for what I sell as a Student), Photo Shop editing, Aerospace 3D Rendering, and a bit gaming at work during break. I was looking at the MSI 970 Gaming motherboard, and since it looks cheap i'm wondering if the board is a GOOD board for it's price. Does it still have MSI's old VRM issues? Does it have problems while overclocking? Are the original MSI AM3+ problems solved in this board? Thank you Edit 2/15: So my board arrived today, but the CPU isn't powering on at all, I think the pens that I fixed aren't working. Is there another 8-core AMD FX thats pretty cheap since most of them are like 200 again.
  9. for example if i had a 6300, at 4.5 - 4.8 ghz, will it pair with a 290 bottleneck doing the same stuff i do?
  10. Ah, just bought it for editing, games i usually play are maplestory, dota 2, csgo, lol, 2k15 nba, skyrim, and gta 5 when its out. can't afford a lot of games sadly. Thanks for links tho so the higher the resolution the more it stress the gpu?
  11. Would it bottleneck? 290 x 8350? I don't play a lot of AAA or plan to max out settings , mostly just graphic design what do you mean crush?
  12. what is the minimum graphics card you recommend from gtx and r9 to drive it? i might get two one for my editing rig, and my dad
  13. would current setup 8350 + r9 290 drive it for editing, and source engine games?
  14. Is it harder to drive 21:9 1080p monitors than regular 1080p?
