Hey I have been busy with life stuff so I haven't had a chance to get back to you thanking you for your help! It worked everything seems great so far haven't enabled the disabled audio inputs just have the one that "works" on but I will try to add more when its needed. Thank you again have a great day.

I did it and plugged in my headphones to the motherboard, I will see if the audio cuts out again. When I uninstalled it , windows didnt prompt me to restart but I did it anyway normally it happens in like 10 minutes so I will see and get back to you. When I first logged in the audio symbol on the bottom right was muted for a second but it went back to normal so we will see. Thank you for your help so far I hope it lasts!

Do I click Uninstall or Delete the drivers software for this device? I will for sure try to plug it in to the motherboard.

Noted I only use headphones connected to the jack on my computer case.

The one that end up working was "Speakers Realtek(R) Audio" disabled everything else.

I went to gigabytes website and found the audio driver and manually chose the newest one.

I been dealing with this issue it feels like after I downloaded the NVidia driver two patches ago but that could be unrelated. Windows would randomly play audio on random audio devices that were "available" for a few seconds then back to my default audio device I chose. After a bit I got tired of that so I disabled every audio source other than the one I wanted, but now a new issue came. Now windows will flat out cut audio from my audio source for a few seconds then it will come back. When I play games this mute of audio sometimes results in a complete frame freeze for a second or two. I looked on almost every tech support place on the net windows "help" section just tells me to do the same thing as the last guy so that was no help. If anyone can give me any ideas on how to fix this that would be great. I just want to enjoy my pc again cant play with my friends due to the audio cutting out on sometimes really key times. My friend just got the Asus z170 sabertooth motherboard and he is kind of confused when he powers off his whole system there is a LED light on the bottom right of the motherboard he said its labeled "power" so he is wondering why if all the power is off to his pc including his mouse and keyboard but that one light on the motherboard stays on. Is there always some passive amount of energy going through the motherboard? Or is this specifically just this motherboard? Thank you for your time any info helps. Side question he also notices that this motherboard a tad "slow" compared to his old motherboard the Asus z170-A. Which includes boot times, opening and closing applications, even in some games he notices some fps drops or pix elation (ex, PlayerUnknown Battleground). His storage stayed the same its a 1tb hard drive, so does switching motherboards sometimes affects "responsiveness"? Again thank you for any information.

My 1tb hardrive doesn't have a folder "this folder is empty" how do I make a new folder in it? "Battlefield 1" is what I would name it correct? Plus would I have to make new folders everytime I wanted to download a game to this drive? Sorry I'm kinda new to all this btw I seen all the setting you stated before.

I'm kinda new to computers I'm trying to download battlefield 1 but it tells me that I need to free space on drive C which is my ssd but I have a 1tb hard drive I rather move it to but it won't let me choose it as the destination. Any help would be great I know this isn't the best place to ask. But everyone is pretty helpful.

How would I open into CMD? I'm sorry if I'm kinda slow at this right now I'm just really savvy when it comes to this stuff

I just installed a 1tbh SSD into my computer swapping it out for the old 1tb hard drive and the forum already helped me out formatiting it and getting it running but now when I try to put steam games on the drive it reads "this drive is read only" how would I be able to fix that? Any information helps thank you.

I seem to have some issues creating a steam library folder to the new 1tb ssd drive it says "this drive is only write only"
