  1. I know all of this i would be upgrading to an x99 motherboard and a full tower if i were to do that but i except this power supply to last a while which is why I'm probably going to end up getting higher than i need right now and hopefully higher than I need for a while as I'm probably going to use this in multiple builds. But thank you anyway for the advise.
  2. I'm not very concerned about the electric bill as we are only talking about a few bucks and they do cost the same. I also should mention that I may be running tri-sli at some point down the road and I'm not sure if i would need the extra wattage.
  3. How will it affect my power supply long term because it isn't operating at maximum efficiency?
  4. Well... the thing is when I went to go buy the 850W I saw that it is the exact same price as the 1000W 80plus gold version, so will the 1000w do anything bad to my system?
  5. Thanks for the replies I guess I will go with 850w because it should be good for the 2 970s.
  6. Hi I am rebuilding a pc and would like to know whether you would recommend an EVGA Supernova 850 G2 or an EVGA Supernova 1000 P2. The reason I am asking this question as I am sure that the 850w psu will be sufficient is that price difference is only about $50 so it seems like it may be worth it to go with the 1000w for such a marginal price difference. My specs are: i5-4690k Asetek 510lc ASRock Extreme6 ADATA XPG V2 (2x4) 1866 2x MSI GTX 970s NZXT Phantom 410 Random HDD
