i ment not backwards compatable type -
DDR4 modules are backwards compatable with DDR3. possibly DDR3L, but i would just stick with DDR4 because you will most likely have the least problems with it. Skylake was designed with DDR4 in mind, not DDR3

you might just have some faulty hardware. that could be a problem,. your power supply might not be powerful enough. -

i have an HP Elitebook 8530p running Windows 7 Ultimate, and I was wondering if it was worth the upgrade. The only thing stopping me from upgrading right now is that Windows 7 Ultimate is near imposible to get these days so I was wondering if Windows 10 really is much better. My laptop has a dual core 2.24GHZ Intel Centino CPU, and 2gb of 800mHz DDR2 ram and windows 7 runs fine.

Wow that was solved quick. I want that chip, but don't have the extra money to spend on it. I also want to be able to overclock easily. Got any other suggestions for chips around the same price that are unlocked? (AMD and Intel suggestions welcome)
