Thanks all thats very helpful and has made the choice a lot easier. WD Red it is! i have done some reading Seagate NAS and WD Red and personal experience is making me lean towards Reds so thats to everyone its greatly appreciated!!!!

Hi All Sorry i've done alot of searching in regards to this and cannot seem to find a definitive answer or a clear defined shortlist. I'm looking for some nice large storage drives from my home data and media server running windows server 2012. all in ill be looking for around 5-8TB of usable storage with a data redundancy. so possibly in total 10-16TB of drives when my data redundancy is built in.
