wiss2wiss replied to wiss2wiss's topic in New Builds and Planning
Can you show me the link of the video? I know I have heard about this issue from Linus but it's kinda gone! I have decided to stick with 8Gb and 650w for now I think if I really need more ram I can always put 2 more in the future! -

Yes I would like to SLI in the future when I feel more comfortable with PC. This means I should go with 750w? -

1. I mean stock and derivatives trading. I see your points, but the pice difference is minimal here in Thailand. 2. I am thinking about this issue a lot, and I am still not sure which one to choose 8 or 16....hmmmm 3. In this country, their prices are almost the same, should I still go for the other ones? 4. I agree with you. I guess I have to go with 750 or 650 then. -

I was looking at them too, but in this country their prices haven't dropped as much as the company suggested. This is why I still stick with 970 despite the issues. ;( -

Wow, I will try to find it. Thank you mate. -
Hello you guys!! A couple of months ago, I was asking for helps on my 1st build plan. Many thanks to all who read and gave advice. ***My original post: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/292094-1500-1st-pc-build-please-express-your-opinion/ I am now going to purchase the parts soon (next week) in Thailand. Therefore, I would like to ask you guys again about my final part list. * Some items that I really want to have such as FD R4, EVGA G2 850w and Crucial MX100 are not easy or impossible to find here. ** The Wireless receiver is necessary for now, but in 5 months I will move (again) and I think I will not need it anymore. Ok then, I think I should get a 970 and use the money I can save to buy flowers + nice dinner for my girlfriend. I will see her in 2 weeks! Thank you again for you help. I will take all pieces of advice into account and soon I will share with you my very 1st build. ***I probably will need more help when I an going to assemble and install Windows + drivers (The latter one scares me the most haha). -

After all I am thinking about getting the 970 again. Omg I am so indecisive. )0( You are right, 970 is still the same as it used to be. Will I really need more that 3.5 VRAM for 1080p? If so I can always lower the setting down to medium or so in the future. I have been playing games on low to kind of medium since. -

I see and I think that what I need would not need the power 980, right? I have to say that I am disappointed to know that 970 is not that good. -

Wow, thank you both for the advice. I will go for EVGA G2 850w now. I am still not sure which GPU I will get (I will go with only a single card for now as I am just a newbie), but definitely will be 980 or 290x. I kind of prefer Nvidia to AMD. Well, Thailand is very hot! Can u tell me why you would choose MX100? -

Wow! Thank u so much for your advice. Upgrade to R9 300 later makes a lot of sense to me. One more question though.... this means I should get just 750w right? or go with the 850w? Sorry that I have so many questions. I am very new to this.
