  1. Thanks for the reply. Why is the H97 better? Because I am on a thight budget and the H97 costs more.
  2. Thank you all for replying, I really appreciate it. You guys have helped me out a lot and my final build is: CPU - Intel i5 4460 GPU - MSI GeForce GTX970 PSU - Corsair Builder CX 80+ Bronze, 600W MOBO - Asus H81-PLUS RAM - 8GB DDR3 1866MHz Kingston HDD - 1TB WD Caviar Blue SSD - Kingston 120GB HyperX FURY 2.5" Case - Zalman Z3 Plus Midi tower Thanks again!
  3. I am going to buy a PC (the parts) in the next few days. I have a budget of about 900-1000 euros. Now, I've never built a PC but I know what parts a computer consists of and what they do. The brands and products for GPUs and CPUs I know (because there are basically only 3 - Intel, NVIDIA, AMD) but I don't know what brand and what product of the other parts of a PC (RAM, PSU, Motherboard, SSD...) I should buy to make a quality long-lasting PC. I've seen this post: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/354281-gaming-pc-for-about-1100%E2%82%AC-1196usd1455cad/ and that PC seems really good for me because I will also be getting a GTX 970 and an Intel i5 (probably 4460 or something similar like that) but that build is really pushing my budget and I would like to replace some of the parts for something a bit cheaper. So my questions are: Would it be viable to change the build I linked above? What brands and products do you recommend if I was to change the build to make it a bit cheaper? What are the most important parts to have in high quality? I will be playing games on a 1920:1080 60Hz monitor (Dell D2412M), Windows 7 64-bit. I do not care if can't get 60fps with everything on ultra in every game, I'm comfortable with putting the settings down. Excuse me if I made any grammar mistakes (English isn't my native language). Cheers
  4. Thanks for the replies, I will go to a local electronics store and try the different key switches.
  5. I'm looking to buy a new keyboard because my current on is going to die soon (it feels like that and also its probably more than 10 years old). My current keyboard is a membrane one but I would like to try a mechanical one now. I play a lot of games that require precise and fast key presses so I need a keyboard that can keep up with that (but at the same time I've been using this shitty keyboard for a LONG time so I guess anything will do). I'm not really looking for back lighting, macros or things like that (although it would be nice), just a plain mechanical keyboard that is not gonna cost me a lot of money. What do you guys reccomend?
  6. Thanks for all the replies. I will probably wait till a week before the purchase of my new PC to decide the parts I will buy and weather or not i should buy a whole PC or upgrade this one.
  7. Hello, I like to play games and I am planning on buying a new PC in the near future (in about 5 months or even before that). My current PC is: Intel i5 2500 XFX Radeon 6950 8 GB of RAM AsRock P67 Pro 550 W power supply Dell U2412M (digital) I am planning on playing games like: The Witcher 3, Rainbow six: Siege, MGS: The phantom pain, The division, Evolve... I have a budget of around 800 euros (maybe more). I want to try a NVIDIA card now and the GTX 970 seems like a good card for it's price. I thought to pair it with a Intel i5 processor (probably 4690k) and mediocre other pars (motherboard, power supply, RAM, hard disc). Do you think it's a good idea to build a whole new PC and sell the current one I have or just to upgrade my current PC?
