  1. Internet sucks here. We can only watch 720p vids every 2AM up to 5AM. )
  2. Win7 64bit. Not sure if it would accept 2gb at first.
  3. To fire it up, I'll be using 2GB. Then 2 weeks after, i'll be getting another 2gb stick
  4. hmm.. can it handle youtube vids at most? considering my monitor will only be a 15" 1024x768p
  5. so I don't need to buy a dedicated gpu if my use would just be running MS office apps and database softwares, right?
  6. So the motherboard has the graphics chip installed rather than on the CPU? If so, then there would be no need for me to get a dedicated GPU if my goal would be 100% office work? (use of MS office apps, databases, etc)
  7. Pretty weird. My family's other PC has a Athlon 4000+ on it with no GPU installed, but it has VGA port on its motherboard. It can connect to a monitor with ease. I was asking how did that happen cosidering what you said (and to my standpoint as well), athlons dont have graphics..
  8. Hi, does AM2 processors have an integrated graphics? I got confused at some stores saying they have onboard graphics, but other tech sites says they don't. Here's a reference for the computer package. Slide down near the bottom of the page for the specifications http://www.openpinoy.com/shop/step1.php?number=6409
  9. There's a single store in a block of computer stores here that still has two 7770 on stock. The 250 is common though.
  10. I'd prefer AMD-based for my AMD-based system (though not a fanboy of it)
  11. Hi, I'm getting my GPU tomorrow and I'm wondering what would be a better one. Considering R7 250 is a rebrand of 7770, I expect the new features won't be as effective as much on a 720p (will soon be playing on 1080p on the next payday), so it won't bother me. R7 250 is $10 more expensive than 7770 in our market.
  12. I'll be using a 1080x720p monitor. 15" monitor. for a $10 range, it's either 8300gs or 8400gs.
  13. Can you guys suggest a less-than-$100 1080p monitor. I can go with a 19.5", 21.5", or 22-23", as long as it is 1080p. Provide links as well.
  14. Powerlogic, Orion, and Trendsonic are the popular generic power supplies here. They are marked 600-800W, costs roughly the same as "tru rated", but can only handle 100-200W. Can't use eBay. And $35 is a bit pricey for a $90 budget. Though I saw some Q6600 at $25, I may or may not get it. Still thinking to get a processor between the price of E7300 and Q6600.
  15. Those kinds of power supply's common here. It's more of a generic vs "tru rated". not everyone can afford to by an 80+ bronze PSUs (though I have a VS450)
  16. I'll be upgrading it to 4GB, I just need first to be up and running. So both CPU and GPU don't need a better choice?
  17. Hi. I was wondering what would be the perfect 775 CPU for my mother's future rig. She will be doing mostly work stuffs, but not video editing. Most of it are database softwares and MS Office apps. What would be a recommendable less-than-$90 build. Here is my build log. As of now, I sticked to E7300, but recommendations would help me. CPU: Intel E7300 -- $10 Heatsink: 775 Copper -- $4.5 MOBO: G31 -- $20 PSU: 350W Tru Rated -- $7 RAM: DDR2 2GB 800MHz -- $18 GPU: nVidia 8400GS -- $10 Case: Rise 831 -- $9 Total: 78.5 I will be upgrading it to 4GB of RAM, I just need to run it first before upgrading so that mom can do work more efficiently that taking her work laptop everytime she goes home
  18. Hmm.. mom doesn't do 3D works, she mostly does is computations in work particularly using MS Office apps and databases. I found a $70 system combined, though all items are in one store: (Prices are in Philippine Pesos. $1 = ~44): CPU: Intel E6600 -- 600 Heatsink: Intel copper -- 200 MOBO: ECS P965T-A -- 900 RAM: Samsung DDR2 2x1GB 800MHz -- 700 GPU: nVidia 8300GS -- 400 Case: Rise 831 -- 500 For PSU, I got a stock generic 700W (which can only output 200+W). I'll give my extra 80GB HDD.
  19. could you suggest a graphics card that would fit on a Q6600 set? I found a system for $75 with a GTX460
  20. Here in our country with that price budget, I can only buy an old Intel socket with DDR2 RAM and generic PSU + case. Majority doesn't know AM1 yet and we're locked with FM2 APUs and AM3 CPUs for AMD and Pentium G3258, i3, and i5 sets for Intel.
  21. Hi, I'm planning to buy mom an AM1 set this mother's day. Though she doesn't game, can it at least handle 2D games? Here is my projected specs: (Trying to fit on a low budget of $125 limit) (I used "brand new" local pricings for APU, MOBO, and case. Pricings for RAM, PSU, and HDD are "used") APU - Sempron 3850 ($75) MOBO - Gigabyte GA-AM1M-S2P (Combo with APU) RAM - Patriot 2GB 1600MHz ($18) PSU - "Tier 5"s* 300-400W ($10) <--- Just an approximate estimation of a Tier 5/Generic 300-400W Case - Generic ($8) HDD - 160GB any-brand-will-do ($12) Total - $123 For peripherals, I'll be giving my currently-using 1024x768 15" LCD monitor, and a $3 keyboard-mouse combo. * See Tom's PSU Tier List for tierings
  22. I tried searching this sound effect, but I don't know the name/link for this. @ 2;09 I need the full version though (which lasted 3 seconds, i guess)
  23. Even on 100% load? I'll be using it for a 3-hour Zift mine and/or BOINC work. (Though not everyday as I have to turn it off whenever I go to school)
  24. Sapphire wouldn't be that so bad, isn't it? Or let's say my GPU heats up after RMA replacements end, would it be viable?
  25. That was my plan, but considering a lower-in-height cooler. More like DeepCool CPU coolers.
