  1. As much as I want, I want my Start button on the left Groudon monitor, then my icons will be placed in between. Lastly, my time display will be on the right-end side of Kyogre.
  2. Hi, I was wondering on how to make my taskbar one-lined, rather than duplicated taskbar. Are there any features on Win8.1 on that or do I download something to make it? My Groudon WP is my left monitor while Kyogre is my main monitor and is on the right.
  3. To sum up, do I need 450 or 500 for a 270/280 GPU if I don't want to overclock it?
  4. Hmm.. I liked it but TBH my budget for PSU is roughly $40-45. I'll be maximizing the extra cash I get for the GPU. Any other good suggestions, I guess with 80+ bronze? I'll be getting CPU and probably a small component on Directron. Aside that, I'll be buying locally to reduce shipping charge fees and transit time Prices here in PHL market is too damn high as opposed to NewEgg prices.. (Sapphire R9 280X here costs roughly $345)
  5. my primary store is directron, then amazon as secondary. I'll be using a US-PHL courier which will change the ship from US-PHL directly to US-UScourier-PHL. The courier got a minimum transaction fee of $20 for 1kg item
  6. Speaking of 49.99 on PSU, how do I send rebate from the Philippines. It usually takes 7-10 working days for it to be received in US. Do I buy the item first or do I send the letter then get discounted?
  7. I'm sticking to FM2 board+cpu since my laptop is already a 5-year old Intel 2330M and has 8GB, I'm already getting tired to use an Intel device. I'll be using it as a partial mining rig (Altcoin for 2-3hrs a day), then mostly for gaming and a bit of video processing + use of Photoshop.
  8. I'm aiming for a <$525 build, with mobo already in hand. proc will be shipped by next month.
  9. Hmm.. If I retain its power, could I lower it to getting VS/CX450? I was reading some pages on its technical specs, most of them has "Required PSU" which is 500.. Now I was thinking, will it run if I go 450?
  10. I was wondering if I can go buy Corsair (CX/VS. can't remember what's cheaper) 450W PSU if I got an R9-270, which will be overclocked to obtain its 270X counterpart power. Here are my current part specs: Aside from that, I'll be connecting an NZXT Blue LED Strips, which is an additional 5-10W.
  11. Thanks guys. (Sadly, can't vote both as solved.)
  12. To conclusion, 860K is the most-OK to use on FM2/FM2+ board?
  13. MOBO - I've been liking it since I bought it, and planning to go for a black/blue theme. RAM - can't afford anything more, unless I do part-time work and full-time student. Kingston HyperX is the one I can afford with its blue-colored heatsink. HDD - In 1 store here, WD is cheaper by $1. In another store [2590-2650 converted to US$], Seagate is cheaper by $20 [3030-3950 converted to US$]
  14. Feel free to change everything except for these: Case - I'm sticking to Cooler Master N300 PSU - EVGA 500B GPU - R9 270 HDD - Well, anything 1TB that is cheaper than the other is good And I'm building an AMD rig because I find it cheaper. So basically, any other options than 760/860 or A8-5600K is open
  15. feel free to use pcpartpicker since we don't have a stable market price in the Philippines. (we have a lot of stores that sells overpriced than the other stores)
  16. Here's my build entry (you can find all the info here): http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/292025-the-students-first-build-550/#entry3966635 If I buy A8, I can go for $80. If I buy 760/860 via Amazon or something, it would cost $72 + $39 shipping and import fees
  17. Any FM2/FM2+ CPUs that are good for a budget build? I was gonna go with A8-5600K, but someone suggested getting Athlon X4 760K or 860K. Anything else aside from those 2, because I can't seem to find those CPUs here in Manila, and if I ship it from other countries, it would end up the Athlons become more expensive because of shipping fees than getting an A8 here. Here are the specs of my budget build: MOBO - MSI A78-G41 PCMate ($70) [bought] GPU - Sapphire R9 270 2GB ($172) RAM - Kingston Hyper-X 4GB 1600GHz ($45) HDD - Seagate Barracuda 80GB ($10) [bought it as a used item] PSU - EVGA-500B 500W [80+ Bronze] ($44) Chassis - Cooler Master N300 ($50) *Chassis Fan - 5x Deepcool XFan 120mm ($18) + 2 pre-installed Sickle Flow 120mm
  18. i need more suggestions for CPU. Can't find an Athlon X4 here in Manila.
  19. Aim for a negative air pressure. Yes dust is your problem though. Just clean it once a week since it's summer. Speaking of dust cleaning, why not remove a side panel and put a small electric fan in front of it?
  20. *bump* removed what are needed to remove *CPU cooler, UPS*
  21. lightning strike isn't a big deal here though. hmm, how about using avr rather than ups?
  22. Well, power isn't a big problem. I just need to make sure my rig will not get cooked if there's a dip or a surge. My only problem left is either risk myself to the sale'd 970X or overclock 970 but costs more because of branding stuffs...
  23. i5-3470 costs roughly $195 As far as my main board is an ATX, this is the cheapest I could get. There are $40-$45 options but those are the mini-ATX boards.
