  1. Junction at 110-115 but I’m not getting any throttling. I can’t do that type of mod because it won’t fit my case and I would lose the ability to return my card.
  2. I decided to buy a reference cooler 5700 XT because my current system is in an ITX case where blower coolers work better than open air. I know this type of cards run much hotter but the benefit of not dumping heat on the case helps to keep my Ryzen 3900X temps at bay. The issue is temps get as high as 95c while playing The Witcher 3 in a room with an ambient temp of 35c. With temps this high I’m concerned about its lifespan. Should I keep using the card and ignore thermals?
  3. I’ve seen that monitor an it seams quite good, but in the end I decided to ditch the 144hz and go for something with better color reproduction, so I’ve brought a philips brilliance 32” 1440p ips. Out of the box color calibration and 99% adobe RGB was just too attractive I guess . Thx anyway for the help.
  4. Actually, this is the monitor that made me create this post. I originally brought it but it has a lot of issues that make it useless for photoshop work. Some of these issues are banding in the gray scale tones (where you see bands in white to black transition in color), awful ghosting and lackluster color gamut out of the box. If you are using it for just gaming this monitor is awesome, but it’s not suitable for my use case.
  5. Sorry for being very vague in the description, this is a list of what I’m looking for: What I require: 1440p 32” Good color accuracy under 600€ What I would like but not require: 144hz Freesync/gsync Curved display Low banding (artifacts on greyscale) Extra note: Ive used several AOC monitors before, all of them had subpar color accuracy and several broke in less than a year, so I would prefer not to buy one from them.
  6. Im going to use the monitor mainly for video game design, which involves image editing and sculpting. EDIT: Sorry for being very vague in the description, this is a list of what I’m looking for: What I require: 1440p 32” Good color accuracy under 600€ What I would like but not require: 144hz Freesync/gsync Curved display Low banding (artifacts on greyscale) Extra note: Ive used several AOC monitors before, all of them had subpar color accuracy and several broke in less than a year, so I would prefer not to buy one from them.
  7. If it works correctly then I guess this motherboard is just disappointment, I'm a silent PC guy and this just destroyed my hole build Anyway thanks for the help
  8. I'm not familiar with Coil whine, never had this issue in older builds so i'm concerned with it in may actual build. The sound was easily pinpointed on the motherboard VRMs as it is louder than any other components. The sound occurs both casually when there are spikes in CPU usage and during stress tests, though it is more constant during this last situation. Overall I would say that the sound is more similar to that of an old hard drive when seeking than a consisten whine. The motherboard itself is a Gigabyte B450 I Aourus Pro Wifi, with a Ryzen 2600 and 16gb 3000mhz RAM. These components have never been overclocked. Basically i'm worried that this 5 month old motherboard could be defective or failing
  9. Having used both AMD FX and and older Intel I7 I never actually installed any chipset drivers, I just let windows do its thing, as I believed that they didn't actually improve or fix anything relevant to me. But I've been reading posts on some pages that recommend Ryzen users to install the chipset driver AMD Provides. I was just wondering if It has an actual impact on performance and general PC usage or if it has any specific usage for advanced use cases like virtualization.
  10. I dont think that score is normal thou, i mean, I just run Timespy and I get 5900 with a gtx1070. I've looked arround and i've seen non overclocked scores with at least a 1000 point diference, so maybe it is the drivers rather tan LOL. It could also be some kind of overheating or bad instalation.
  11. This might sound dumb, but have you tried reinstalling LOL?
  12. Im having a similar problem with my 1070 where GPU usage is very low and fps are lower tan they should, though i get an average of 140 rather tan 60. Do you have the framecap or V-Sync activated? LOL V-sync is the worse out of all, where the fps drop bellow it proportionally, i mean if you are getting 140 and it drops to 100 with V-sync on you get a proportional drop bellow 60, at least that is what i've had.
  13. My main problem is XMP or ram frequency. The bios defaults with most settings on auto, there is no problem here. However when I activate XMP or change the ram speeds some of these auto settings are changed but they are still on auto and the cpu is no longer limited to 88w, rather than that it pulls out 120w and has a higher turbo in some programs. Idle power consumption is also increased. My deduction is that the auto settings change without notice to handle an overclocked Cpu. However I want my pc to use the least power and be as silent as possible, so I was wondering if there is a way to see what the default auto settings are( enabled or disabled) so that I can use XMP with the default non OC settings or a manual with the listed default( no auto) settings.
  14. Im using hwinfo, the best temp program that i hace found so far, Also i have done a lot of AMD overclocking and ir has never failed. Hw monitor and realtemp reported the same readings
  15. The mater just got worse, for some reason when I activate XMP or change RAM speeds IBT makes the cpu run at 4.2ghz rather than 4ghz increasing the power draw to 100w and increasing temps to 86c
  16. The cooler is mounted properly, Room temp at about 28c, CPU stock voltage is fine, thermal paste: thermal grizzly hydronaut. Using Intel burn test i get about 78c, cinebench is at 66c and prime95 blend test is at about 71. The motherboard is an Asus z97-a. Are these temps normal for this cpu and cooler?
  17. Im using a hyper 212 evo no throtteling low temps
  18. Stock speeds. Activating xmp on my RAM made the CPU overheat for some reason
  19. I recently brought this processor and i am seeing results of 905cb at stock speeds in cinebench on the internet, however i am getting just 855cb. Is this a normal result or my CPU is broken?
  20. Can i ask at which room temps you are runing the test at?
  21. I think i know the problem: i basically used prime 95 rather than intelburntest and i got temps of 55 so the cooler works fine it was just the program
  22. Basically my intel i7 4790k at stock settings runs at 77 Celsius max on Intel burn test. I wanted to know if this is normal for this cooler
