  1. Cool I figured just wanted a second opinion. Thank you.
  2. As the title says, I'm building a new system and I have a AX760 that is only around a year old. The new build according to pcpartpicker and the outervison Calc is around 505w max load. I know that the numbers can be higher or lower for both the max load and what the PSU can deliver. I just would like to know if I should upgrade the PSU while I'm upgrading everything else or am I good to go with what I have. Thanks for any help.
  3. Yea thats a great point, really great reply on here guys thanks for the help!
  4. I currently have a pretty decent build but I wouldn't mind making some upgrades. I have a i7 4790k and a gtx 960 to upgrade them to what I'm looking at. Either a GTax 1080 or upgrading the Mobo and Ram for the i7 8700k are essentially the same cost. Which you guys think would be a bigger upgrade? I currently lean towards the CPU/Mobo/RAM just seems like a little bit more upgrade for the money. But curious what you guys think. I mainly just play Overwatch and WoW but I'm also a graphic artist so it is some what of a workstation.
  5. I contacted BitFenix because I'm looking at the kit I linked to above. I purchased the CableMod "Extension Kit" not knowing that those can't be plugged directly into the PSU so I'm probably going to return that CableMod kit. thank you for your help.
  6. Hey guys, Not sure if this answer is on here or if this is the right forum to post under but any help would be very much appreciated. I tried asking in Power Supplies but didn't seem to get any answers. I'm trying to buy custom cables for my build and I bought the CableMod cables but they are the "Extension Kit" which I have found out cant be used to plug directly into the PSU. I have a Corsair AX760 (not the "i" just the AX760) I'm looking at returning the extension kit and buying this BitFenix Kit but I'm not sure if these are ok to plug directly into the PSU and if they are compatible with the 760 I see they are compatible with the AX760i Really cant find information on this and would love some help. Thanks!
  7. Any chance you could point me in the direction of those cables you are talking about? Are the BitFenix ones extensions?
  8. Hey guys, Not sure if this answer is on here or if this is the right forum to post under but any help would be very much appreciated. I have a Corsair AX760 (not the "i" just the AX760) I haven't tried to plug the cables in because I'm not sure if they will work or if it will cause in damage I haven't really seen any info on this. 9. I live in SoCal so temps are all over the place but its been around 80s - 90s but today it was about 75 but yea I totally agree that it all depends on the ambient temp in the room. I'm fairly certain that the water block is seated correctly but I guess I'm not 100% sure any particular way I could double check that? It's OK to use Q tips right?
  10. Yeah it's been about a month since I applied it and I watch my Temps a lot, I know it's gotten hotter where I live aswell but I'm still unsure of the paste at this point it's also a bit of peace of mind. Thanks for all the help, still new to these forums. Really appreciate the input.
  11. Hey guys, New to the forums so excuse me if this is somewhere else on here, I think I need to replace the thermal paste on my 100i because i used some older paste i had laying around (it was some old cooler master stuff). It seems like my temps are a little high even for my 4790k not over clocked just at the standard boost 4.4ghz i'm getting around 35c - 40c at idle on balance power mode (so not always at 4.4ghz and like 55c-60c while playing games like WoW or GTA V, so if you guys could help me with what paste i should get that would be really helpful or if you think its even necessary. Thanks for any help!
