  1. someone sent a message asking about the waterways and fin denisty. The fin denisty is not that important, this cooler has similar fin denisty to mass produced products from companies like ekwb etc, and not even their hig end stuff. To get a great design you need a path in wich the water is in contact with as much surface as possible(fins), thats why more fins generally equate to bigger surface area, however you want the water to do so in the least amount of time, because as the water goes over then fin, it can only pick up a couple of degrees. Anyone can build a really high fin denisty block, the key is to make a block that can keep good flow. the limiting factor for the BL design is not just the center block that distruputes the water, its also the gpu cooling block, way to restrictive in flow. the biggest problem with the senter block is that it distrubutes the water to the cpu and gpu in series not parallel.
  2. Could not agree more on that last part, no one will look good in all of this when the smoke settles, GN is clearly triggeret due to the comment made by linus during the last wan show, Billet labs has not been honest in their communication about what actually happend, the respond from linus was dog shit, and now we have madison jumping in with a story that semmes a bit to spicy to be true.
  3. Thats not how that works, if I send LTT a cooler and allow them do dissasmble it on video, and post detailed pictures on my own website, I can't cry about leaking IP when anyone with a little of experience can replicate the cooler whitout ever touching it.
  4. Sure if bc children's hospital gets some money and you give me an open check as an apology XD jokes aside, we should wait for wan show, linus wont be able to hold back, he will respond, could be way worse then we thought, could be just a nothing burger and a simple misunderstaning.
  5. Yeah I stopped cheching the subreddit regurarly after the trust me bro incident, its 90% complaining at the best of times when there is no drama, I checked it a couple of hours ago and boy is it disturbing, I genunally dont see how people can be so invested in these parasocial relathionships.
  6. Why are you people so god dam angry, this is a storm in a glass of water, chill. You dont know any of these people, none of them are your friends, this just some internett drama, this post was about how easy it would be for anyone to copy the BL cooler, but no one would dot it because it would be even more expensive, it was not meant as a continuation of the toxic gn thread, go there if you want to lob shit at each other, please.
  7. Ehmm I did not say who should be mad, or what they should be mad about. you can keep that chitchat for the main gn thread. All I said is that people who geniunally were worried that the auctioning of the prototype could have lead to LB "IP" leaking can rest assure that the drawings BL themself provide are sufficent enough to create blueprints for the product. And yes, plenty of people were and still think that this product is some secret space age inovation, its not, its a fairly simple mechanical device, the imressive part about it is the dedication and total machine hours invold in its production. LB themself mention twice in their offical statements that they were worried of IP leaking..... Maybe dont call random people fanbois whilst you wave the pitchfork my dude, you are made from the same cloth as people who think linus did nothing wrong here.
  8. Just to clarify, I want to emphasize that I am not the individual who received the prototype, and I have no intention of sharing these drawings with anyone, regardless of the purpose. I undertook this project purely for entertainment, as I haven't utilized Fusion 360 in quite a few months and wanted to refresh my skills. The measurements I've taken are remarkably close (within approximately 0.1mm) when compared to the drawings supplied by Billet Labs on their website, as well as in relation to the LGA 1700/3090 Ti specifications. If there's any genuine concern about the possibility of a competitor of Billet Labs obtaining the prototype and creating imitation kits, rest assured that such concerns are unnecessary. Replicating this product is feasible for any bored electrical engineer in just three hours, all while listening to a podcast and taking two pizza breaks. It's highly unlikely that any large-scale manufacturer would pursue replicating this product, not due to its lack of quality, but rather because it's not aligned with their market strategy. Just as Toyota refrains from creating drag racing cars, this cooler falls into a similar category. The manufacturing process for this cooler would demand numerous machine hours and a significant amount of materials. It's plausible that producing this cooler is more cost-effective for Billet Labs compared to a larger manufacturer. The unique "handcrafted" nature of this cooler, coupled with the extensive machine hours required, renders a traditional production line largely ineffective.
  9. I got the new psu yesterday evening. Changed it and it worked like a charm, for about 2 hours. I played 1 csgo match with no issues, then later when watching youtube videos the computer crashed. After a bit of researching I found out that older 19.-.- amd drivers are better because they allow you to just download the drivers and not the other bs included. And many other people with similar issues said that running two separate 8 pin cables to the gpu is better than a single 8pin to 2 x 8 ping cable. After downgrading the driver and going to two separate cables I turned on prime 95, used highest power usage mode, and turned furmark gpu stress test on, about 2 hours later no crash. Not gonna breath yet, I will give it a couple of days with more gaming/stress test to finally see if the issue is gone. I also noticed that my motherboard has a single 6pin connector below the cpu just above the first pci slot, I tried to connect a gpu 6+2 pin cable to it but it wasn't long enough, does anyone know if it is worth buying an extension cable or is that 6 pin just necessary for people that heavily overclock?
  10. to be honest the 600 bq did me good with my older gtx1070, but im tired of serching for the issue so im just gonna change it and see what happens. if its a bad motherboard then im truly getting the big d up the bum. because there is not a single store in norway that sells x299 micro atx boards, just atx and larger formats.
  11. hi my pc specs: Intel 7820x Msi x299 carbon pro m 16gb ddr4 kingston 3200 evga BQ 600 powercolor 5700xt red devil fresh bios update for motherboard, ddu deleting of gpu drivers, and latest amd gpu driver. So, my computer is acting weird, when I use it normally to watch youtube videos and browse the web it gives me no trouble. but lately if I start a game like csgo or pubg, the screen goes black and the pc crashes, it won’t fix itself, it must be restarted. at first, I thought it was an issue with csgo but the same can happen with furemark and pubg. sometimes it will take 20-30 minutes in game before the screen crashes. Cant reset windows as the computer crashes during the reinstalling. The gpu is just 3 months old, and I have tried to switch the physical bios switch from gaming to quiet and the issue is still there. I have run windows ram analysis, came back with no errors. I can run the cpu with prime95 for couple of hours without issues. have tried to turn off game mode and xmp in motherboard bios without any help. I have now ordered a new 850w psu as this could be a power supply issue. Does anyone here know a good software tool or method to test whether the gpu is the main problem?
  12. We live in a single family home, just one router in the entire building. The house is wooden frame. At any single point about 4-8 devices are connected to the router by wifi, almost all on 2.4 ghz, just my pc and my laptop are on the 5ghz line.
