  1. I recently purchased ViewSonic VA2719-2K-SMHD which has DisplayPort 1.2. Currently screen can only display in 8-Bit that's why I am looking to purchase Radeon Pro WX 2100 which has DisplayPort 1.4 and can display colors in 10-Bit which will let me take advantage of new monitor and help display accurate color in Photoshop which I use every now an then since photography is my hobby (gonna start again after this pandemic subsides). My concern is will my monitor be able to display 10-Bit video through DP 1.2 since graphics card has 10-Bit output via DP 1.4 so there is mismatch in DP versions. Also on AMD website it list that GPU will support 1080p, 4K, 5K & 8K @ 30hz or 60hz however my monitor is 1440p so even if GPU is able to display in 1440p will it be in 10-Bit? I have attached datasheet for monitor and GPU Thank you ViewSonic VA2719-2K-Smhd & radeon-pro-wx2100-datasheet.pdf
  2. That's a really good suggestion will keep that option open thanks
  3. I have recently upgraded couple of old office computer and have pile of Mobo+CPU+ram combo sitting in storage all working perfectly (Windows 10 OS upgrade lead to hardware upgrade) I don't want to throw them away and contribute to e-waste. What can I do to put it to good use? All Mobo I hv have wolfdale CPU and DDR2 RAM 1 gig or more. I am quite handy with computer hardware and will learn new stuff if you guys suggest to help me use old hardware (upto intermediate level only please)
  4. I really appreciate your advice I know I am doing a bit over kill on CPU and MoBo but I believe that CPU, Board and RAM are only things which are major cost in any PC build and they have to out last all other parts as we don't get those parts upgrade that frequently and + I want to make my system future proof that's why going with Skylake and DDR 4 compatible mother board. I have found 2 good GPU which falls within my budget MSI : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FR6XP6I/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me= PNY: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133530&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= last one was thanks to gt403cyl If you have any GPU in mind please reply with the link
  5. I am going heavy on CPU and motherboard as those are main cost in any computer under normal setup and I want to make them future proof so going with Skylake and DDR4 memory compatible board. On other side GPU is a variable cost which can be upgraded anytime and newer versions are frequently coming out so as I don't game that frequently I would rather have a economical allocation of my budget to GPU.
  6. This seems a nice worth for money, Thank you "gt403cyl" will do some more searching before my final purchase.
  7. Guys I have a budget for only USD 100 - 150 I can't afford those expensive GPU sure they are awesome but bit rich for my blood

  9. Hi! I am building computer first time and need help with selecting graphic card I am going to use ASUS Z170-K ATX motherboard and EVGA 500 W1 80+ power supply. Can you guys / girls help me find a suitable graphic card? My build up to now amounts to USD 550 ex-tax and I don't want to go wayyyy... over board with graphic card. I am a passive gamer and titles I would like to play are Metal Gear V, Dying light, GTA V etc
  10. Just randomly searching on google I came across dual cpu motherboard (not dual core) and that got me thinking what benefits it can have for gamer and SME server users. I haven't seen any videos regarding those motherboards.
