I'm currently somewhat in between a couple of options. On one hand Im very used to using bluetooth headphones. I love my Bose QC 35s and wear them all day but ive been looking at other headphones to just check the market if there is something much better. On the other hand I have been looking into sound bars and sub woofers but I feel like that gets pricey quickly. I think the most I can convince myself to buy for sound setup would be ~800 Would I be better off with a good wireless headset or should I invest in a mid range sound system

I'm so searching for some prebuilts and a 3900x and a 3090 24 gb doesn't seem half bad right about now.

Even if there aren't 40 series I feel like they are due for a to refresh no? Cause I'm thinking of going all out for my next computer and I've been eyeing some 3090 24gb but not sure if that's really worth it with my ultrawide 1440 high refresh rate. Not sure what the benchmarks are for that since I can't seem to find any

At this point I feel like we usually get new cards announced in 3 or 4 months. Im thinking maybe it would just be better to wait for those to come out instead?

just purchased a scarlet solo 3rd gen and a shure sm7b. I downloaded the drivers and then plugged in the usb c into my computer then plugged in the xlr cable. When I turn on the 48v it flashes green and then doesnt pick up any noise. I can see the focusright in my settings as default input. Not sure why its not detecting and any help would be greatly apperciated

After 4 hours of scraping with a gift card while alternating between heat and 99% alcohol this is where I'm at. Feels like it's gonna take another 5 hours

I started to noticed that my computer was getting pretty loud even tho it was at idle. So I went to check my temps and it was in the low 80s and any time I did anything it would be low 90s and 100 under more intense loads. Since I hadn't put new thermal paste in 4-5 years I figured that was it. When I went to remove the aio the block was really tight onto the cpu. I had to do some light twists I was able to peel it off but there lies the hard thermal paste underneath. I tried to get it off with some alcoholic wipes that came with my thermal paste with no avail. I've tried to do it right away so the cpu would have been as hot as possible but that still has worked. I won't get the 90% rubbing alcohol until Friday and even then I'm not sure how much that well help. Am I sol or is there something I can do until Friday? As someone who has cut the cord I basically only have my phone left and it's pretty maddening I can't do anything for 3 days. Thanks for any suggestions!

this being the best thing is why I've turned to pc master race. why is the video game industry still so archaic and have third parties still make us have consoles? ?

with black friday here, Im very tempted to upgrade my launch ps4. I would rather do it now since I know the new generation is coming up within the next 2 years. Plus kingdom hearts 3 in 2 months! <3 Ive heard that a lot of game run better on the one x. my issue is that most games on xbox are on pc already but its hard for me to go to the lesser performance in ps4 pro that isnt even real 4k. so xbox one or ps4 pro?

just to update. a friend of my suggested the ram was the issue so i re-arranged and then did a re-install of the os and im back up and running thanks everyone for the help

Recently I went through a move and since the movers came while I was at worked someone touched my workstation and now I'm having issues. My machine will boot just fine no errors and then after about 3 minutes it feeezes. No matter if it is in the bios or the os this always happens. Initially it booted into the os but then turned off completely after 10 minutes. Not sure what could be causing this but thinking it's the mother board at this point Specs off the top of my head Asus z97-a i7 4790 Zotac gtx 960 4gb vram 4x crucial ballistic sport 8gb ram

windows 10 btw

is this possible because i cant find anything on it? i know that myth tv can on windows 7 but everything is out of date

Well as my luck has it my machine blue screened X_x I'll have to troubleshoot that first
