  1. Finally got to the bottom of it. Went to a a repair shop and tested my mobo and memory with a 3700x and it worked fine. Put my 3600x on another board and the issue came back. So, unfortunately, it's my CPU. Bizarre issue all around, not a lot of people with this problem on the internet. Wish me luck with warranty in my country!
  2. If I understood your comment correctly, my SSD isn't NVME, it's SATA. I've more or less settled on the fact that there is something about Windows drivers (even in their installer on my USB drive) that doesn't play nice with my hardware for some reason. I've done a complete reinstall of Windows 10 in this SSD using another PC, but even then it won't boot. I may try installing another version of Windows, like 8.1 or 7 to see what happens. @ShrimpBrime Finished running memtest86 and 0 errors on any of the tests, completely fine. I'm taking the PC to a shop today, hopefully will finally know if my CPU is toast
  3. Started up memtest86, if I get any errors I'll share here
  4. Never got to OS on Windows 10 on my SSD and the Windows Install Tool on my USB drive. Do you know of a Linux build I could use on my USB to test this? I know nothing about Linux
  5. Yeah, sorry, my first time with a serious post and I'm really nervous because this PC cost all my spare money and warranty here in Brazil isn't really good. For anyone on this thread: - Tried reseating both sticks of RAM, and tried both sticks on all slots by themselves, same result - Tried clearing CMOS - Already updated BIOS - Previous motherboard had exact same problem - SSD works on other machines - Tried booting with nothing but a stick of RAM and GPU (GTX 1070) - BIOS works flawlessly as far as I can tell - Alternates between BSOD and simply restarting the system, BSOD generally complains about drivers.
  6. Sorry, should have been clearer. No POSITIVE results, still unable to boot.
  7. Yes, but it wasn't working with the factory bios either I'll try clearing CMOS, and just tried testing each of my ram sticks separately, still wouldn't work. Surely it's not the motherboard? The exact same problem on 2 brand new mobos Just did, no results with either sticks. The BSOD has that "IRL_DRIVER_NOT_EQUAL" or something like that, the one that can mean a billion things.
  8. I did a recovery usb and even that won't boot. I'm now getting a BSOD on the installation usb!
  9. So basically, I bought a Ryzen 5 3600x to pair with a ASUS B450 Prime Gaming. Worked fine for about a month until one day I BSOD and it just wouldn't boot to the OS again, but could access BIOS normally. I thought it could be my Windows installation, so I created a USB windows media to reinstall it, but the USB Drive wouldn't boot either, the little circles would appear but the PC would reboot. Put my SSD in another laptop, worked fine. I thought it was my mobo then, so I picked up a MSI B450 Tomahawk Max, but the same issue still happens. It will boot to the SSD, but there'll be a few seconds of the Windows logo then the system reboots. Won't boot to a USB drive either. Is the issue my CPU? It has no bent pins and is brand new. Maybe my PSU? Anyone had this happen to them?
  10. If anyone is interested, I couldn't find Isopropyl Alcohol in any drugstore in my city (I live in Brazil), and I feared using the 45% one. So I got a really small sowing needle and managed to "scrape" most of it. I didn't bend any pins or scratch the surface below them. I'll keep trying to remove it completely before my new MB arrives though
  11. I could try that, will update on results
  12. Hey guys! Basically screwed up. Had to send my mobo in for RMA and decided to clean the thermal paste on top of the CPU after removing it from the socket (I know). A bit of the material found itself on the bottom side of the CPU, due to sticking to my fingers and what not. Did my best to clean it but it's really hard to get Isopropyl Alcohol where I live. Can I leave it like that, since it doesn't reach the top of the pins (photos attached) or are there going to be problems? This is the stock cooler paste, so I have no clue how electrically conductive it is. Also, could I use normal rubbing alcohol (45%) to clean it? Thanks in advance!
  13. Hey guys! First post here. So, basically, I've been using an old Samsung SyncMaster T190 as a secondary monitor on my PC (using DVI) for 5 years with no issues. Yesterday, however, it started doing this thing where it turns on and off when connected to my PC. I've checked and it's not a DVI issue, I've swapped the cable and tested a laptop using VGA on it, and it does the same thing. I have also tested other outlets and power cables. Can you guys tell if it's a solvable issue? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-GNCHXL9cM Sorry for the focusing issues!
  14. Hey guys! I'm far from a specialist when it comes to PC audio, but something weird keeps happening to me. Basically, every audio reproduction device I plug into my computer eventually stops working on the right side. Doesn't matter if it's via the USB port in my front pannel, like my Kraken Chroma headset, or the 3.5mm ports, like what has happened with two Apple earphones. With the Apple ones, when watching videos on YT for example, it's possible to heart a faint sound on the right side, but when doing stuff like "test" a reproduction device in Windows, both sounds, even the one intended for the right ear, come out the left one. With my Kraken Chroma, It's weird. It happened out of nowhere and instead of simply not playing the sound supposed to be coming from the right ear, It plays the sound on the left one. I tested it with the Surround feature in Synapse and even the sounds supposed to be coming out of the right side come from the left. This unusual behavior makes me think maybe it's not broken and is some software stuff, but I tested it with Synapse unninstaled and nothing changed. Also I dont know shit about this. I have tested both devices on other PCs and phones and the problems persist. I would really apreciate if someone more knowledgeable could tell me if this is just a coincidence. Also, if anyone has had similar problems with headsets as I'm having with the Kraken, I could use some help. Thanks in advance!
  15. Is doing that similar to what this article describes? http://www.howtogeek.com/190835/how-to-turn-an-old-pc-into-a-home-file-server/
