    oh right the tactical ram is 3000mhz cas 15 and the ballistix elite that I ordered is 2666mhz cas 16

    looks good is it a fairly quiet case and what are the stock fans like I will probably change them eventually but to start with will have to use them.

    Oh ok I get that it's latency but isn't the Crucial Ballistix Elite range meant to be their flagship ram and the tactical meant to be their second in the line up I don't get why the elite is cas 16 and tactical is cas 15 if the elite is meant to be better if you get what I mean

    hi, So I posted a few days ago about 3000mhz ram vs 2666mhz ram but didn't realise the difference in cas latency one is cas 16 the other is cas 15 what do these mean? I've not really ever dived into much detail of ram.

    Yeah I only use SSD's now so SSD mounts are important to me I need to change my signature I changed a lot of my hardware up this year

    That's great I hate my full tower and really want a smaller case I even considered MATX motherboard and cases but there isn't many MATX cases I know the master case 3 is mATX but I prefer the Maker 5

    Also case doesn't look too massive like my 780t which is too big for me

    I'm thinking of getting the case just not sure about the led colour on the front panel shame they aren't white so it doesn't break up theme the S340 elite paint job was soft and was scratch when I received it so sent it back

    Glad I ordered the 2666mhz kit now it was cheaper than the 16gb 3000mhz kit aswell lol

    I was actually originally planning to buy 3000mhz kit but when I saw the Crucial Ballistix 2666mhz kit for 146GPB on cyber monday I thought they was a great deal might finally get a stable overclock with this kit sold my 64gb corsair kit as it wouldnt accept xmp on my motherboard seems to be a common issue with x99 asus motherboards and corsair kits

    Ok I didnt think there would be just wanted to check as I came across a post that said there would be 5% better performance from a 3000mhz kit

    Hi, I ordered some Crucial Ballistix Elite 2666mhz 32gb kit but then I saw a 3000mhz kit for 40GBP more isit worth it to go with 3000mhz for that much extra it works out to about 60USD more

    It looks like it may be smoked slightly but I wasn't sure how clear it was it may be reflections making it look like that because the S340 elite window in videos looks quite dark but in person it's very clear i'm thinking the mastercase may be better for airflow over the s340 elite and the s340 elite has like a matte soft touch paint to it and mine arrived with a small scratch on the top makes me wonder how much it will scratch over time.

    Just wondering if anyone has got the Mastercase 5 with the glass window I ordered the S340 Elite but am considering returning it and going with the Mastercase Maker 5 and getting the glass window to go with it but wondering how clear the glass is as in video's it looks very dark whereas the NZXT s340 Elite's glass is super clear.

    well the 550D is cheaper but it is open box but still has all the protective plastic on it so shouldn't be damaged the s340 elite is new only just came out in the UK I think I am running a GTX1080 strix which unfortunately suffers from quite severe coil whine and the case I did have was too loud because it was all open mesh so looking for something a bit more closed but not to the point it affects airflow too much

    Need a bit of help deciding on a case narrowed my choice down to either the S340 Elite or Corsair 550D i'm looking for decently quiet whilst having decent airflow.

    Ah ok thanks anyway it's fixed the issue I was just having a guess that some of those pins that connect to the 5v rail must power the rear ports which would of course make the usb devices play up if they were losing power

    ah right so some of those pins on the 24pin connector are powered of the 5v rail specially for the USB and rear i/o?

    Well it's stopped doing it after switching my powersupply, Kind of confused why the pc even turned on if it was the other power supply

    The USB hub was just a plug and play one no extra power I used it to extend the cable on my Xbox controller didn't plug anything else into it, the cable for my xbox controller is quite short I need to buy a longer one lol but it was a temp fix till I can get one

    it's everything I just switched the power supply going to launch a game to put a bit of stress on the PC as that seems to be what makes it worse

    Nope still doing it i'll try switching out the PSU and report back
