  1. I'm looking for a portable mic that I can use at home and at school. I play for my college's esports team and am constantly taking my audio equipment and peripherals with me to play at the school so I need something portable with good sound quality and the ability to tune the pick up so there is a minimal amount of echo when 5 of us are yelling call outs. I currently run Astro A50's, which I love, but Ive had them for 7 years and with the amount of traveling I'm going to do with them I fear they are going to break at some point. I have already decided to use Bose QC20's for my audio replacement but I need help selecting a mic because I'm not super experienced in what is out there other than mics like the Rode NT-USB and Blue Yeti. Thanks for the help and let me know if more info is required.
  2. I have determined that my graphics card is probably starting to go bad since I switched it out with a 660 I had laying around and the problem hasn't come back.
  3. It was working fine while under continued use. I went and ate dinner and came back to the screen turned off like it would be if I had the "Turn Screen Off after X time" function running (which I dont). When I hit a key on the mouse the display turned back on but once I stated opening windows the display cut to black, came back on it kept cutting to black if anything moved on the screen. I restarted my computer and was greeted by the 1280x720 small screen (same as the picture from the first post).
  4. It's working for now. If it breaks again I'll be back.
  5. Hi All, Within the last 2 weeks I've been plagued with a problem where on boot my monitor will display in 1280x720 at 100hz but the image is not stretched across my monitor it's displaying that image in the center of the monitor and only using those pixels (see picture). On some restarts it will display 1920x1080 (like it's supposed to) but it then only runs at 100hz and wont go any higher. I've been able to temporarily fix it by only running 1 monitor and unplugging and then plugging the monitor in coupled with restarting my computer. This issue is now permanent when I run this 1920x1080 monitor with my 4k monitor. This morning I also started having the issue where when running 2 monitors my 1920 monitor would display a black screen then come back on and then repeat whenever I moved a window on either monitor. System: CPU: AMD 5800x GPU: RTX 2080 with a minor overclock Monitors: BenQ XL2420Z (1920x1080 1ms 144hz) LG 27GN950-B (4k 1ms* 144hz)
  6. Thanks for the help, updating the bios was the issue.
  7. Lovely, do you know what CPUs are supported in that bios version?
  8. There's a white sticker next to the ram slot that has the serial number on it and a number at the end reading 2407. Is that the bios version?
  9. I'm not sure what bios is on it since I can't boot into bios and if I'm not mistaken I can't flash a new bios unless it posts. EDIT: Based on the serial number sticker on the motherboard there is a 2407 number at the far right side. Is that the bios version that was loaded onto the board? Thank you for the suggestions. If my friend's ram that is compatible works, I'll probably pick up that corsair ram you listed.
  10. On Corsair's website it says it's optimized for both AMD and Intel. I bought the ram and motherboard at the end of October. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/VENGEANCE-LPX/p/CMK32GX4M2D3600C18
  11. Hi all, I have an Asus ROG Strix X570-I Gaming Mini ITX motherboard with an AMD 5800x, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16gb 3600mhz, and EVGA 2080. When I finished building it and went to turn it on, it didn't post and the gpu fans were running at 100%. I checked the post lights and the dram right was lit up. So far I've reseated the ram several times, reseated the gpu, reseated the cpu, and ran 1 ram stick in each of the 2 slots. The ram should still be good since I was using it 2 days ago in my intel system that I am upgrading from. I contacted asus support and they said my ram wasn't listed on the compatible ram spec sheet (I'm calling major cap) and couldn't help me until I sourced compatible ram. My ram part number is CMK32GX4M2Z3600C18. Please help, I'd like to get back to gaming asap. 12. I stream using NDI from my gaming computer to my streaming computer. When I have OBS idling on my gaming computer I get around 20fps less in Rainbow Six Siege than if I didn't have OBS open. I run R6 at all low setting and get anywhere from 100 to 120 fps with OBS running and 130-150 with OBS not running. I've attached my OBS settings, R6 settings, NVIDIA control panel settings, and an internet speed test. I have both computers wired to a router. If you need more info let me know but imo with my current hardware and in game settings I should easily be getting 180+ fps with OBS running. Gaming Computer Specs: i7-7700k RTX 2080 16gb ddr4 ram (2x8) Thank you.
  13. Thanks for the info, if no one comes up with some dslr software that will be a good backup option.
  14. I'm a cheap college student and would like to use my Canon T3i that I already own as a webcam for Skype calls (yeah yeah I know Skype's a shit platform but I don't really have a choice and I already own the camera). There is another thread, DSLR Camera Software, that asked a similar question and the people commenting on that gave me the same info a quick google search would give me. I also don't want to use a hardware solution because it will take too long to be delivered and it costs money. So far I have tried: EOS Utility Tool - just a live previewer Canon Photo Professional - current version doesn't work with my camera (or I didn't get it to work) DigiCamControl - just a live previewer Sparkocam - Worked great but had a big ass watermark, and not one of those ignore-able water marks, like top middle of the screen all the way across water marks Is there any free software out there that isn't listed above that turns my Canon into a webcam?
  15. So recently I was having an issue with my computer so I did a fresh install of windows 10 on it where I deleted everything on my C drive but kept things on my F drive. After getting everything back up and running I booted discord went into a call and was told that my mic sounds like a Xbox live MW2 lobby. I have an MSI 970A-G46 motherboard and used MSI's Live Update to download the necessary drivers. I tried uninstalling the drivers but that didn't work. Do you have any suggestions. Thank you

  17. Here is my build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WC8qdX CPU: Intel i5-8600K $239.00 CPU Cooler: Corsair H50 $49.99 Motherboard: MSI Z370 PC PRO ATX $108 Memory: Team Vulcan 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2400 $139.99 GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 1070 TI 8GB $459.99 Monitor (2 options) BenQ BL2420PT - 1440p 60Hz Monitor $229 Asus MG248QR - 1080p 144Hz 1ms Monitor $269 Explanation: CPU: I went with the new line of intel cpu's because if you're upgrading with a large budget might as we come to the forefront of technology and I'm an intel fanboy. CPU Cooler: I like Corsair's line of all-in-one coolers. You can go with a 240mm rad (2 fan rad) or an air cooler of your choosing. This was just a place to start. Motherboard: This was a $20 dollar step up from the motherboard below it but you get an additional pci-e port and some better astetics GPU: The GTX 1070ti is the best of both worlds. Good price for good performance. Now if you really like visuals and go with a 1440p monitor, a 1080/1080ti might be a good choice but that's up to you. A 1070ti will work just fine. Also I'm a nvidia fan boy. Monitors: Since I don't know what kind of gamer you are I decided to go with two routes: Competitive Gamer: Asus MG248QR because 144hz 1ms is a must and it's a really nice price for those specs Story/Visual Immersion: Benq BL2420PT because it's a good price for a 1440p monitor Comp/Visual Go find a 1440p monitor with 144hz and 1ms responce. It might cost an arm and a leg but it's look really really nice
  18. I took the mouse apart and discovered several things: Razer hides a lot of screws under stickers. There are a lot of screws The sensor is connected directly to the board but I did not get a good look at how the switch was attached to the board (I was at a friends house and needed to use the mouse again) The mouse is a pain in the ass the reassemble Attached is a picture of the front board for the mouse that I found on ebay for. I'm pretty sure it is a Chinese knockoff. I will take apart the mouse again when I get my stand in mouse back.
  19. I have nothing to lose with taking apart the mouse so I might as well do it. I kind of feared that the middle button was soldered to the board but it makes sense for production.
  20. I've had my Razer Ouroboros for three years now and the middle click just went out and was confirmed broken by a razer agent through their online support. Since my Ouro is our of warrenty my question is, is the middle click button replaceable and if so what part would I need to order? Thank you
  21. Yeah but if you look at custom water cooling loops such as Awesomesauce Network, he has his rad in the front blowing in. In my build I have the rad blowing into my system. It really doesn't do a whole lot to the temps imo. There doesn't seem like there's enough room for you to drill for an exhaust rad.
  22. Measure the distance between the holes I circled in the picture I previously posted and the slot on the far left that the stock fan is screwed to. If it's 140mm or close (I don't know the size of the fans with their frame) then you can put your rad/fan in the front as an intake.
  23. I circled the holes you could possible use for a 140mm fan. Just take out the 2 front fans and put in your rad/fan.
