  1. Have you tried the beta version of AI suite? My Maximus VI Hero and B85M-G have both not been responsive to AI Suite 3 due to a Windows update (Anniversary), to the point, it crashes my pc's on boot and unusable. I tried the beta version and it's working a treat.
  2. How will switching to an i7 help? It's clearly his fault for opening 3 instances of a game instead of 1. Or some other hardware fault
  3. Literally, WD is the Apple of HDD's. You've been brainwashed into thinking 'It cots more, therefore it is better' "Extremely high failure rates" - Because my Seagate drive failed in just 1 week. Does price to performance mean nothing to you? This is the real world, this guy isn't running a RAID array with vital gigabytes of data on it. He's using it for games, music ect. I'm pretty sure, Seagate are well known for their data recovery?
  4. They are quiet anyway. And you can plug the fans into your MB for software fan control via MSI command center
  5. WD is overrated. You can get a 2TB Seagate for the same price. If not less.
  6. I have the FiiO E10k, with my DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm's and when bass boost is on, it's like a subwoofer in your years.
  7. I have a pair of DT 770's, with my Asus maximus vi hero. Backstory: My onboard sound is getting annoying. The older realtek drivers, the balance was fine but I had no 'amplify' option so I had to turn my speaker's up half way to get a reasonable volume. I also had to buy a cheap usb soundcard to get rid of static on my modmic. The latest realtek drivers, the balance I have to set to +2 on the right, and then I don't get the option for amplification. I've been looking for a way to fix the balance issue all together, and have the option for amplification. I was looking at soundcards at about £65 or a fiio E10K amp and dac, for about the same price. The FiiO E10K attracted me with the bass boost switch. What's the best choice? I listen to flacs and mp3's and game.
  8. Me and a friend bought Elite: Dangerous on sale and we've got the jist of the basics like delivering cargo to outposts and shooting pirates. But we don't know what else we could do to gain the $$$ I'm looking for new and/or experienced player/s to show us some more aspects to the game like how to find certain objects for the bulletin board, mining and these low energy wake thingys etc. Feel free to add me on Steam, my name is pommy192 (no capitals)
  9. I have to manually install the drivers when I go to set it up anyway
  10. The printer is plugged into the old router with has been made into a wap Dhcp is turned off on the WAP as well as the firewall. The ip to my router is the standard 192.168.1.254 And the access point where the printer is plugged Into via USB is 192.168.1.175 Here is the guide I followed: http://www.filesaveas.com/jarviser/repeaterhubswired.html
  11. It's an old router that has been reconfigured as a WAP. I'll also give that a go when I get back home
  12. I will give that a go when I am back at home
  13. I've not tried overclocking, due to the stock cooler, I could try it, but there's not decent guides out there
  14. The Asus B85m is the MB i used for my second PC's g3258. It's a really nice MB, UEFI bios and a few fan headers !
