I've requested a refund from Amazon and I am about to go to my local post office to send it off. EDIT: No I'm not, just remembered it's a bank holiday haha. I tried a fresh install and it did nothing. It's a shame, I like the keyboard otherwise, but there are so many issues with it that make it terrible. Really? That may be correct, I don't recollect anybody complaining about the RGB variant either.

Thanks guys. I've decided I'm going to contact Amazon and ask for a refund, as this isn't the first problem I've had with the keyboard, and I've heard tons of people complaining about problems with K70s, such as LED failures.

Amazon UK, and it came from Amazon, not a third party seller.

So basically, I have a very big problem with my current keyboard, the Corsair K70 RGB. Basically, whenever I press a key, it does one of four things: 1) Work normally (Clearly the preferred outcome.) 2) Act as if I have not pressed it at all. 3) Registers the pressing of the key several seconds after I have actually pressed it. 4) Acts as if I have double tapped it, and then doesn't allow me to press the key for around another second afterwards. This mainly happens just with a few keys (z, c, w, Space & Backspace) but happens from time to time with all of them. Obviously, three of the afore mentioned points are extremely major problems, that I am unable to put up with due to the amount of use this keyboard will be getting. I have had this keyboard for just under 2 weeks now, and these problems began to occur around 3 days after receiving it, so this has definitely not happened due to being overused and it's lifespan running out. Having done some research, it seems as if this is a reasonably common problem with the Corsair K70, and I am not happy after paying a premium for such a product. I would like to know what my options are when it comes to returning this, as I am extremely unhappy, and may not be purchasing from Corsair again because of it. Also to note, I have treble checked that I have all of the latest software, firmware and drivers for EVERYTHING, so this isn't the issue. Thanks for any responses.

Looks interesting. I might just be going insane, but I don't see all of the holes that the metal standoffs go into. -

I don't care how it looks to be honest, I haven't had a working computer in over 3 years and I just want to see it power on. I will probably just go with the 4460 to save a little bit of money.EDIT: The 4460 is £145.38 and the 4690 is £172.98. I am using scan so that I can purchase scansure (I don't trust myself installing the CPU.) -

I have a Corsair 300R so ATX. Do you think there would be a noticeable difference between the 4460 and 4690 at all? -

Thanks for your replies. I may consider SLIing but that will be years in the future so let's say, for all intents and purposes, I won't be doing it. The Xeon is considerably more expensive than the i5 4690, so that won't be an option. I have the Gigabyte G1 GTX 970 (The tri-fan one). What do you recommend then instead of the i5 4690? -
Hi. I am going to purchase an i5 4690, and am wanting to know what a good motherboard for it would be. I have approximately an £80 budget (but can stretch slightly further). Also, it cannot be by MSI, the whole reason I am upgrading is because I broke my previous (MSI) motherboard during installation as my 24 pin power connector would not go in however much pressure I applied. I did some research and it looks like this is a common problem with MSI, so I would prefer not to go with them. As a side note, considering the fact that I am obviously not overclocking, will the stock cooler be cool enough? Many thanks.

Where do I put this USB 3.0 header in!?!?!

Thanks so much! I am going to go out tomorrow and purchase one. Fingers crossed that they have one in stock! -
Where do I put this USB 3.0 header in!?!?!
TehDragonGuy replied to TehDragonGuy's topic in Troubleshooting
Thanks. If I get that, will the front two USB ports work as 2.0? I am not really bothered I just want to know. And where would I plug that in to? And will the ones on the back still be functional as 3.0s? Thanks, sorry I am asking so many questions. -
Where do I put this USB 3.0 header in!?!?!
TehDragonGuy replied to TehDragonGuy's topic in Troubleshooting
Thanks for the help all of you. I gather that my motherboard doesn't have a USB 3.0 header. Can somebody point me in the way of the type of converter I will need. Also, what are the USB 3.0 on the back for? I watched a video where somebody plugged the cables straight from the USB 3.0 on the front straight to the ones on the back. I would have a chance of doing this - the cable coming from the ones on the front is twice the size of those on the back. Many thanks. -
Hi. I am in the middle of making my first ever build. I am currently trying to put in the USB 3.0 headers connecting the front to the back. However, I don't think I have anywhere to plug in the USB 3.0 header, it is WAY too large and doesn't even look like a USB, but it connects to the USB 3.0 at the front. I have a Corsair 300R (windowed), and an MSI 970A-G46. Please let me know if I am doing anything wrong. Sorry if this seems really stupid, this is my first ever build. PS: I would post pictures but I am unsure how to, so any helping shedding light on how to would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks.

Corsair 300R w/ Window - Motherboard Standoffs
TehDragonGuy replied to TehDragonGuy's topic in Power Supplies
Thanks both of you. I agree, it is a really nice case. There is a lot of space and a nice area for cable management on the right side. Things like adding the drives is simple as well. And it is reasonably cheap. If I ever build another computer I will be using this again. Thanks so much
