Evga gtx 670 sc 4Gb version, hopefully looking to upgrade to an asus or evga 780 3GB
-
Nice looks awesome, definitely getting this case
-
Im getting the same cpu, mobo, ram, psu and cpu cooler, but, gtx 780, the air 540 case, 2x2tb seagate barracudas and ive already got the 240gb ssd
-
Looks great
-
Then what about the rest of your parts? What's your budget for the whole build?
budget is 3900usd
-
I will immediately start calculations
thanks for taking time to help me
-
Personnaly, I'd go for a CM Storm Quickfire TK and a Logitech G700, as it's what I use at the moment
Thats why personally haha, i was in a shop earlier and the corsair keyboard and mouse fit perfectly
-
Good specs, but please, get better peripherals.
I will be getting a Corsair keyboard and mouse, K70 keyboard and M65 mouse
Exactly what is your budget and when are you planning on purchasing
budget is 5000 nzd (3900 usd) and in a month
-
Do you have every other part but the cpu/mobo? What parts do you physically have already?
What kind of gaming/applications are you planning to run?
things like battlefield 3/4, crysis 3
and i have the psu so far
-
awesome thanks
-
Thanks for all the feedback, i can get nvidia cards at a discount, the main reason im getting one, or i could go up to a 690 for another 120usd
Sound levels of the case are not much of a problem as i wear headphones most of the time
-
I'd have a tough time choosing between this and a Steiger Dynamics PC
Whats tough about it, his desk all the way :P
-
Samsung 840 pro is only better at writes than the non-pro.
Intel Core i7 4670k has the same gaming performance as the Intel Core i7 4770k.
The Corsair H100i comes with fans just as good as the SP 120.
Money saved could go towards a better graphics card, games, peripherals etc.
Totally agree with prolemur on all three points
-
Yeah I was going to do the same thing but I want to order everything off amazon, so I went and bought PP07 extensions with a high quality but reasonable priced PSU ..
The silverstone PSU was $130 when the AX750 was $150.... so the silverstone PSU + the extensions was a better deal for me :P
ah i see
-
850W is more than enough
-
If you get a Corsair PSU then you can get full sleeved kits, i have a AX760 with a Red sleeved kit and it looks awesome
-
I have a Samsung 840 240GB and my brother has the Samsung 840 Pro 250GB, for the extra cost there really isnt any difference that we can see
-
How hard is it to transfer my SSD from my current system which im selling, to my new system
obviously i will have to uninstall the drivers and install the new drivers
but what else will i have to do if anything
if it helps it is a samsung 840 240GB
-
Looks like a 4770K and an Asus Sabertooth Z87
-
nice combo actually, might be what i upgrade to soon actually..debating between 4770k and a sabertooth z87 or a 3930k and an evga x79 dark.. typically its a no brainer but i rarely do any video editing and whatnot so the extra cash for the 2011 platform seems worthless for my uses
That is my current debate, Sabertooth + 4770K or X79 Dark + 3930K
Not the combo i put together.

then why did you say $800 for cpu and mobo?
he gave me a pcpartpicker list to an i5 and a mobo that would be around 300-400, i am looking at around 800 usd for a cpu/mobo combo
-
? that is a cpu and mobo
the one im looking at is an i5 and 300-400 altogether
-
4770k and an asus rog board :)
Why should i get them though
-
I was looking for suggestions as to what cpu and motherboard to get, i have some of the components such as the case and cpu cooler
-
So i am finally upgrading in 3-4 weeks and want your opinions on what i have chosen so far
Will be used for Gaming, Video editing and 3D work on 3 monitors
Motherboard - Asus Sabertooth Z87
CPU - Intel I7 4770K
CPU heatsink - Corsair H110
Case - Corsair Carbide Air 540
GPU - Asus Geforce GTX 780 3GB
Ram - Corsair Vengence Pro Silver 16GB (2x8)
Things i already have
PSU - Corsair AX760I (plu Red sleeved cables)
SSD - Samsung 840 240GB
HDD - Seagate Barracuda's (2 x 1TB)
NZXT Sentry Mix fan controller
1 x Corsair AF140
3 x Corsair AF120
Let me know what you think
Asus 780 vs Evga 780 - anyone know any differences
in Graphics Cards
Posted
So at all the shops i go to they have an Asus gtx 780 and an Evga gtx 780 with exactly the same specs, i was wondering if there is any difference at all apart from the brand name
