  1. Looking at budget of 2500, with 3K being a hard ceiling. Be using it for gaming, getting into video editing, doing some day trading. Don't want to have to build one in the next year or two. Might be a grain of vanity too.
  2. Ready to start building but do need some help deciding on some parts. I want the Intel I7 5930 chip, so building accordingly. Chip-Intel I7 5930 http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=19-117-403 Motherboard- Asus rampage v extreme http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=13-132-505 Graphics card- Gigabyte GTX 980, going with 1 for now, can see myself getting second one later. http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=14-125-682 Case- corsair 780t (already bought it, it was on great sale) http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=11-139-048 Need help with CPU cooler- Noctua nh-d14 and nh-d15 seem to be popular choice of many, those things are big though. Will the socket match? Do I need low profile ram because of its size? How do I know ram is low profile ram on newegg? (Corsair says its low profile, rip jaws don't) Will I have to move graphics card down and will it affect the performance? Ram- thinking 16 GB, 4x4 should suffice for now, manufacturers site seems to really like corsair and rip jaws, any input, suggestions welcome Power supply - welcome any helpful suggestions Storage - gonna go with combo here, Western digital black http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=22-236-622 Would love your input on SSD, I know there been some problems with some of them, any helpful suggestions or comments more than welcome.
  3. Building my second pc, been couple years. Need some advice and help. I have not been able to find much help with the trading part of it besides people showing off bunch of screens. Is there anything I need to watch out for with building a trading pc? So far I have settled on intel I7-5930 haswell chip and corsair hydro series H100i cooler. Also liking what gigabyte GV-N980G1 gaming-4GD GTX 980 4GB card has to offer but not decided on it yet. From what I come across, it's better to use one high end card than couple middle of the road ones. I would like some advice on the rest of the components, especially ram and memory. I was gonna skip including SSD but from what I read, the trading part of the pc would really benefit from it, so now I do want it. I watched some videos on SSD drives and hard drives, but still a bit unclear on how exactly I should make them work together. Really need help there. As a disclaimer, I only have one screen right now, but plan on expanding to 2, 3, 4, maybe even 5 screens in the future. What possible bottlenecks, problems should I look out for, avoid in this build?
