and just in case...socket 2011 is x79 for the 4820k and a socket 2011 will not fit a socket 2011-v3

start - run - cmd - ipconfig - put the default gateway in to your bowser, login to your router and set everything to factory defaults. Might change your wpa/wpa2 key back to default if you have changed it in the past. -

The wired connection is still slower than the wireless connection even with the router bypassed? -

Try the basics first 1.reboot computer - test connection 2.unplug everything and wait a minute then plug it all back in - test connection 3.remove any new adapters - test connection 4.plug pc into modem directly - test connnections -
I have two r9 290 cards and a 2160p, 3840 by 2160, 4k monitor. Newer games run terrible at this resolution when there is no crossfire profile available. Older games run very smooth and look very impressive. Any game I have thrown at these cards at 1440p, 2560 by 1440, 2.5k resolution have run smooth with all settings set to the maximum. When playing newer games at 2160p and because of the lack of crossfire support I get bad stuttering or only one card works because of this. Once proper support is released everything becomes all right again. It's one of the cons when dealing with an SLI/Crossfire setup and high resolutions like 4k.

look for a monitor with 1-2ms response time, 60hz+ @ 1080p BenQ XL2411Z 24IN LED 144HZ 1MS http://www.ncix.com/detail/benq-xl2411z-24in-led-144hz-53-95033-1383.htm

I corrected myself 2 hours before you posted, you must have missed that. It's very disappointing to learn such things but it's all good.

Didn't look up the specs, heard some bad info, you are right it's 4gb per gpu

Both cores on the 295x card use 4GB of vram like crossfire or SLI. Crossfire or SLI load the same data into each cards memory and render the same images alternately.
