  1. Thanks, I was probably thinking of a 144hz monitor instead of a 60hz just because theres no point getting a graphics card that good if you can't actually see the difference it makes
  2. £1000 its only a loose budget though I could go £1050 or even £1100 at a push so say £1000 and yes I am UK
  3. @Laputacake thanks very much that's cheaper than I would have expected, I'd imagine around £1000 but I thought that I had already gone past that - I must have made a bad miscalculation
  4. Never built a PC before but for Christmas I've been allowed to build my own computer to last me until the end of my uni days. I've been thinking somewhere along the lines of: Intel Core i7 4790k Gigabyte Z97-HD3 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4gb 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz Corsair H60 Water Cooler 1TB Seagate (hybrid 8gb SSD) 650W Corsair VS (not sure if I'd need more if I was overclocking both the cpu and gpu) Cooler Master 690 III (fairly undecided on case but best one for cooling which means a lot for this build) A 144hz monitor and decent gaming mouse and keyboard I would use this PC for fairly intensive gaming, I'd likely want 60fps for BF Hardline. If anyone can give me advice on overclocking to it would help so much but if not any comments or changes I could make to my build would help me a ton. Thanks, Ali
