  1. We did that a few months back. I'm not sure if my memory serves me correctly, but I'm pretty sure we did that. It's just the problem that he still black screens and attempting to install new drivers doesn't work. The card is a Gigabyte Windforce R9 280X. ( Rev 1.0 )
  2. Alright, here we go. I recently sold my computer to my friend and when it got it the hard drive was busted. Okay, so he fixed that. Now, when he booted on the OS (Which is the same OS I shipped him, BTW. They just restored the OS and some files onto a new HDD.) and launched Team Fortress 2 he noticed the screen was kind of.. artefacting, and not to mention the bad FPS. Later the computer crashed and then began just popping up black screens. So when he contacted me my first assumption was that the drivers were corrupted due to the new HDD. So we installed the correct programs and tried to uninstall the old ones and install the new one. He successfully uninstalled the old ones and tried installing the new ones it just froze and black screen'd. One time the PC did restart after like 20 minutes of being black but the drivers never installed. So what could be the problem? I've tried looking this problem up with no resolve. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask me. Thank you.
  3. From what he's showing me, yea. The GPU WAS off the slot, though. He noticed a few minutes ago. We've tried completely removing the RAM and unplugging the hard drive, and the GPU. Still doing it from what he's told me. I shipped the CPU with a Hyper 212 EVO on it. Could've that caused it to fuck up during shipping? I used a lot of protective material in shipping.
  4. Just did. Nothing still.
  5. Nothing. The GPU fans aren't spinning, though. Could that mean the PSU is failing?
  6. Alright, he's doing that now. We've tried doing it with the HDD unplugged and no RAM. Still doing it. He's gonna try reseating them.
  7. So, I shipped my friend a computer. It was working perfectly fine for 2 years. When he gets it, it refuses to boot. Nothing will even come on his screen. It just keeps turning off and on. In a loop. WHAT'S HAPPENING? The packaging was absolutely crazy. I wrapped that thing in so much protection there's no damn way something might've killed it. WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM BE? Any help would be appreciated.
  8. Exactly...
  9. Ugh. So many decisions. I'd rather not buy a card that'll die in 2 weeks.. but it's such a steal. And a 290X.
  10. How risky is it to buy a mined card?
  11. Obviously. But why would he/she set the price so low? Even $50 would be a much more logical starting price. Either this person is very stupid or something is wrong with the card that I haven't realized yet, or the seller didn't choose to disclose in the description.
  12. Okay, so I'm getting some birthday money soon so I was browsing Ebay for some used cards. (Building soon and used is my only option.) And I found this. Can someone explain why it's priced so damn cheap? I'm so confused. I see that it's been used for several years, but at a low price like that I'm just confused.
  13. I finally chose what I'm gonna do. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Austin8464/saved/#view=48WFf7 I'll just have to save up a bit to get it. It's my best bet though.
  14. Personally, I'll probably stick with the graphics card I already chose. But will the mobo you posted work well with the CPU I originally posted? I do plan on OCing a little.
  15. Save your build and then post the link. Won't work otherwise.
