  1. Exactly. Which is why I'm torn. Lol Had to go really cheap on alot of parts to make the 1440 build as cheap as the 1080p build
  2. Thats what I'm thinking too. This is my first build and I'm just worried about going with cheaper parts and then they fail on me.
  3. Planning a build with tax returns, I got some ideas from another post I posted. I've been playing around on PCPartPicker and made 2 builds that are the same price. One is a 1070/1080p build with "high quality" parts and the other is 1080/1440p build but has "lower quality" parts. Which would you do? 1070 build PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Tzgrpb Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Tzgrpb/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($328.99 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i v2 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($96.99 @ Jet) Motherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING M5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($149.88 @ OutletPC) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LED 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 Memory ($105.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($164.99 @ Jet) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.78 @ OutletPC) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card ($479.42 @ Newegg Marketplace) Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Blackout Edition w/ Window ATX Mid Tower Case ($105.99 @ NCIX US) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($78.89 @ OutletPC) Monitor: Acer XB241H bmipr 24.0" 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor ($399.99 @ Best Buy) Keyboard: Corsair K65 LUX RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard ($129.99 @ Best Buy) Total: $2090.90 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-12-29 10:14 EST-0500 1080 build PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VBdG2R Price breakdown by merchant: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VBdG2R/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($328.99 @ SuperBiiz) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($28.88 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($99.99 @ NCIX US) Memory: Avexir Core Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($74.99 @ Newegg) Storage: ADATA Ultimate SU800 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($64.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.78 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 8GB AMP! 4. You're right shiv, not too worried about taxes, this is with the returns. You guys are giving me good ideas on how to use the budget. I'm liking sqeezing the 1080 in there. I would like G-Sync if possible, but if not I could live without if since I've never used a monitor with it anyway.
  5. Planning my first build with tax returns. Would like to stay below $2000 USD. I need a monitor (just one, would like to do 1440 if possible) and keyboard which will need to be in the budget also. I already have a Steelseries Rival mouse. I'm at work and will respond to any questions when I get the chance. Thanks in advance.
  6. Im not worried about the camera at all, I dont take a shit load of pictures. And I don't work my phones to death like some people, I don't play games all day. I've been on it pretty much since I got it downloading apps and trying different games, it hasn't gotten hot for me. And the screen looks fine to me too. I love it.
  7. My first smart phone was the iPhone 4 when it first came out. I then had a Galaxy S2 for about a month (wasn't mine, was just using it). Then had another iPhone 4 for the last 2 years, so I had a phone that came out 5 years ago. Needless to say, it was time for a new phone. Well yesterday I went and got the HTC One M9 in gunmetal grey and I absolutely love it. It was between the M9 and the G4, I like the way the M9 feels in my hand better. I don't think I'll be going back to Apple. [emoji3]
  8. They were limited edition, probably sold out pretty quick
  9. http://www.xoticpc.com/ I have a Sager I bought from ^this website (in sig). It cost me 1600 shipped.
  10. My wifes dogs name is JuJuBe. Im not sure what kind of dog it is, its a little mutt.
