  1. Don’t want the dell 7577 because it’s a 15”. But I want a big name 17” like asus, msi, Acer or something like that. I plan on undervolting and doing new thermal paste on whatever I get.
  2. What about the Acer Predator Helios 300 17.3”?
  3. US, I want either a 15.6 or a 17.3 I don't want to spend more than $1,00 for a 15 or $1,200 for a 17. anything with a max q is out of the question like the dell 7577
  4. everything I've read about the asus says it has absolutely terrible cooling
  5. I'm looking to buy one of these tonight but I'm not sure which is better. I know the Asus has heating problems but what about the MSI? https://www.costco.com/MSI-GF72VR651-Gaming-Laptop---Intel-Core-i7---6GB-NVIDIA-1060-Graphics---1080p.product.100388428.html https://www.costco.com/ASUS-ROG-GL703VM-Gaming-Laptop---Intel-Core-i7---1080p---6GB-NVIDIA-Graphics.product.100375042.html
  6. The MSI is way out of my price range... Looking to spend $1,000 for a 15.6" or $1,200 for a 17.3" max. I don't care if it's paper thin or 2" thick as long as it's a solid laptop.
  7. I'm looking to buy a gaming laptop that I can take on the go and play while at work. I've narrowed my search to four different laptops. Two 15.6" and two 17.3". I'm looking for the pros and cons of the different screen sizes and laptops. I want to spend right at 1k if I get a 15.6" or 1200 for a 17.3". I'm aware of the heating problems on the Asus, but to my understanding most laptops fall short in this area and that it can usually be solved by undervolting slightly. Thank you for your help! 15.6" - https://www.costco.com/ASUS-ROG-GL503VM-Gaming-Laptop---Intel-Core-i7---6GB-NVIDIA-Graphics--1080p.product.100380687.html - https://www.costco.com/Dell-Inspiron-15-7000-Series-Gaming-Laptop---Intel-Core-i7---6GB-NVIDIA-Graphics---1080p.product.100379974.html 17.3" - https://www.costco.com/ASUS-ROG-GL703VM-Gaming-Laptop---Intel-Core-i7---1080p---6GB-NVIDIA-Graphics.product.100375042.html - https://www.costco.com/Acer-Predator-Helios-300-Gaming-Laptop---Intel-Core-i7---6GB-NVIDIA-Graphics---1080p.product.100368662.html It is also to my understanding the the Dell Inspiron 7000 has a 1060 Max-Q.
  8. So in terms of graphics how will the dell on compair where it just has the 1060 max q
  9. I'm currently looking for a decent gaming laptop. The games I'll be playing are pubg, rust, overwatch, black desert online, gta 5, and destiny 2. I'd prefer one under $1400 with a 1070 but will settle for a good priced 1060, and I'd like a I7 7700HQ. I've had my eye on these three. https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-i7-7700HQ-1060-6GB-G3-571-77QK/dp/B06Y4GZS9C?pd_rd_wg=h2ZxW&pd_rd_r=e3c67d21-a717-49c6-bb2a-39b2635b4fcf&pd_rd_w=x2l87&ref_=pd_gw_simh&pf_rd_r=5WRT4ZKRPJXM5BXF3GNW&pf_rd_p=4c5acc25-f4b0-5ad7-9004-0f2549f94c2f https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-TVR15600-Notebook-i7-7700HQ-GeForce/dp/B074F2FY79?pd_rd_wg=h2ZxW&pd_rd_r=e3c67d21-a717-49c6-bb2a-39b2635b4fcf&pd_rd_w=x2l87&ref_=pd_gw_simh&pf_rd_r=5WRT4ZKRPJXM5BXF3GNW&pf_rd_p=4c5acc25-f4b0-5ad7-9004-0f2549f94c2f https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-gl502vm-15-6-laptop-intel-core-i7-12gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060-1tb-hard-drive-black/5712362.p?skuId=5712362
  10. I’m never home anymore to play my desktop and have been looking for a good moderately priced laptop. Looking to spend under $1500. Wanting a 1070 but will settle with a 1060.
  11. I upgraded to Windows 10 last night (for the 3rd time) after I waited 2 or 3 weeks and I get the post code 04 (power to south bridge initialization) it wasn't doing this on Windows 7, and it stops doing it when I go back to Windows 7. It's not in a boot loop or anything, The PC turns on and seems to work find. Just wondering why I'm getting this code and how to fix it.
  12. When ever I start up my pc I am unable to use my keyboard or mouse to go into bios or safe mode. The keyboard and mouse don't turn on until the pc is on the starting windows screen. How can I fix this? I've tried the usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports on the front and on the mobo.
