If it bugs you, you can always just remove it and soak it in paint thinner or something... warm soapy water and a bristle brush (not metal bristles) will take care of latex based paint.

Scuffing up the surface let's the paint bind better and with 2-3 (I like 3 coats) very light coats, the new paint seems to set better; more uniform.
The wheel is plastic?

I saw that. I have a question: Did you scuff up the plastic before you painted? The pictures did not show a scuffed up surface. You might have missed a very important step. It still looks good, mind you.

I know... some of the pictures have the light sources bouncing off of the gloss; messing up the look of it a little. I am asking why you chose gloss over a flat?

GJ man. Why did you not go with a matte finish? I know the gloss/semi-gloss looks good in person though... good pictures are harder to take because of that gloss.
