  1. Ok I don't think I did anything wrong, all the intel builds I have done have been fine. I think I'll get a better cooler and some decent thermal paste. If that doesn't fix it i'll return the chip, perhaps there's something wrong with it.
  2. Antec 300 with stock fans so one in the top and one at the back in the top, basically there were 2 fans directly on the cooler.
  3. Did the stock cooler work for you? I would get random reboots with it and idle temps were at 50+, it was louder than the average human talking too.
  4. Already tried remounting, used the thermal paste that shipped with the cooler.
  5. The CPU starts thermal throttling at 62', isn't it even a touch ridiculous that they amd sells a product that doesn't perform to its full capacity even with an basic after market cooler (everyone i've talked to agrees the stock cooler just simply doesn't work).
  6. I am currently running my FX-8320 at stock settings (OC seems like a baaaad idea) with a noctua NH-U9B and in prime95 I am at constantly above 67'C with temps reaching upper 70s, early 80s, prime doesn't report any errors though. I idle at around 45'C which seems ok but holy crap it goes high as soon as I put any kind of load on it. Is this just me or do other people experience high temps with FX series? I've tried disabling the boost clock and I've tried undervolting...
  7. I believe android apps require java and xml not javascript.
  8. I have a CoolerMaster Extreme Power 2 525w
  9. I am having, as the title implies, a strange issue with my i3 3220. I am using the stock cooler and the integrated graphics until I can buy a good GPU. My CPU was at 60'C (120'F) idle in the bios. I have been having random freezes where the screen stops at a certain frame and a loud buzzing is emmited from my heaphones which are plugged directly into onboard audio. I originally thought the GPU was the source of the problem and switch to onboard graphics but the freezes continued (they are infrequent, maybe once every 24-48 hours but force be to reset the pc and as such are rather annoying). I ran prime95 opn the system but it did not report any issues nor did the system freeze up. On a possibly related note, when I boot my pc, the CPU fan starts about 5 seconds after everything else at full speed and slows to normal speeds over the next 15 seconds. I do not think this is normal behaviour as all the other modern CPU's I have worked with have all started at a normal speed. I would be happy for any input on this matter.
