  1. let's say that this game company's support is lazy.....leterally they're lazy and this is the troubleshooting they got me doing. that's reason why. they ask me if i have the version 11.2, so im trying to eliminate all the stupid sh*t they throw at me, to try and get them to fix the game. any idea on the versioning issue?
  2. hey, so i have a problem with a game- they tell me to check my DirectX version. i read windows 8.1 comes with 11.2 - ive installed all updates, important and otherwise. my sys information shows 11.0 my graphics card supports 12. what gives? does the .2 not show up and i can assume i do in fact have 11.2?
  3. well, i not so gently stuck a piece of wood in the psu to stop the fan, and the noise disappeared... fan's working fine, psu's not heating up, let's see how long this remains fixed. apparently it was fan related, so a new fan should get rid of the rattling.
  4. problem is the sound isn't constant; the psu doesn't usually make sound as soon as i turn on the pc. it would have to be while the pc is on... maybe some software to stop the PSU fan?
  5. how do i safely stop the fan?
  6. Need to know what this noise is - sounds like its coming from the PSU. Also, it's driving me mental. The sound comes and goes. I've opened the PSU and it doesn't look like there is any cable in the way of the fan (it does sound like that is what is happening though). Anybody know what this noise is exactly? 7. what's the point in having two monitors, hooked up to a gpu and an igpu, if we cant tell which program to be launched where? besides the obvious of connecting one more monitor?
  8. hey all anyone know how to force a program to open on a secondary monitor, being run by a gpu, while being started from the desktop, which is being run on the igpu? thanks
  9. thanks. i will indeed go towards and amd now. always been an nvidia user, but amd right now seem to be kicking ass. you mention the 390, not the 390x though? just a money thing or you think my system wont be able to handle the card or what? cheers
  10. current system is: Intel Core i5 4590 @ 3.30GHz Haswell 22nm Technology 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 759MHz (9-9-9-28) ASRock H97 Pro4 (CPUSocket) 28 °C i have no budget for the GPU
  11. hy im thinking about getting a new gpu its been a while wince i went through specs and all that but i worried about boettlenecking my computer how would i go about knowing what the best GPU is for my current system? what do i need to look for?
  12. thanks. i might get a fan in the front to create a better air flow. what about a heatsink for my processor. will any cpu fan fit or do i have to look at the specifications of the motherboard and find one that fits accordingly?
