Only going to bump because I have a new question: would these issues likely stop if I put in a lighter weight graphics card?

I just bought a new prebuilt I9 9900K GTX 3080 750W PSU and I'm having all sorts of issues. A preliminary google search showed that this is likely an issue related to the PSU, but it seemed like it might also be a GPU issue. All of the parts are new and there shouldn't be any issues with a 750W PSU considering a 650W is recommended for 3080s.. is there anything I can do to try to remedy the issue myself other than just sending it back and getting a new one?

oops, to be clear those prices included a 1440p 170hz monitor. also, wat? cheapest 3080 i can find on ebay costs more than $1500 lol

I'm able to find reasonably good deals on 3070 pre-builts in comparison to 3080 prebuilts, and in general I'm looking at comparing the following specs for the corresponding prices. I can afford the extra cost, but what I'm trying to find out is whether it is worth it for my usecase. $2460--1440p 144hz monitor, i9 9900k rtx 3080 $1860--1440p 144 hz monitor, i7 10700f rtx 3070 $600 seems like a huge jump for seemingly small increase in performance, but I haven't really been able to find much discussion on topic online. So, reasonable to go with 3080 in this case or just stick to 3070?

pcpartpicker says it has potential issues; Some Intel H110 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions. is this actually going to be a problem? otherwise thanks, this does look much better

No I really am going to build this. And yeah I haven't been paying attention to computer parts since I researched the build I am using now and back then it was hip to get a dual-core for a budget gaming PC so that's what I chose it for the list

My ssd is the boot drive

I tried this and when I booted with nothing it would go to shell, with ssd it would go to black screen, and with hard drive it would ask to input the boot drive and when ssd and hard drive it would go to black screen

As title states, I can't pass bios screen on my desktop that I have been using for almost a year now Worked fine yesterday then today the system wouldn't turn on. Well, it would but it would freeze on the booting MSI screen or would go black. I can launch into bios but attempting to go into safe mode freezes the computer. I have tried swapping out ram kits and launching with no GPU. I have a 970 + 4690k

https://gyazo.com/89d8508dfc6da7e0f3f5c6034979b254 For some reason my gtx 970 is locked at 405 mhz core clock (under load as well as idle) and overclocking does nothing, neither does underclocking it from what it is supposed to be. Is there anything I can do about this or is my card bricked?

as others have been saying, hot water and soap will be just fine for your mousepad. on a sidenote, does anybody know how to clean a qck mousepad? its all dusty and old looking
