Trying to decide between 3070 or 3080 pre-builts for 1440p 144 hz gaming. I'm able to find reasonably good deals on 3070 pre-builts in comparison to 3080 prebuilts, and in general I'm looking at comparing the following specs for the corresponding prices. I can afford the extra cost, but what I'm trying to find out is whether it is worth it for my usecase.
$2460--1440p 144hz monitor, i9 9900k rtx 3080
$1860--1440p 144 hz monitor, i7 10700f rtx 3070
$600 seems like a huge jump for seemingly small increase in performance, but I haven't really been able to find much discussion on topic online.
So, reasonable to go with 3080 in this case or just stick to 3070?
