  1. I called Best Buy since I live in Orange county near a microcenter, and they fucking price matched it. 100$ off. (By the way I'm out of state for an internship if that means anything)
  2. Those aren't to bad of specs. I'll have to look into them a bit more. Who makes that D5 pump? So far the Swift tech MP655 has proved very worthy.
  3. The reason I prefer fan controllers so much, is because just how many fans I will and have used in the past. Lamptron makes a controller that had 5 60w channels... That's enough power to supply about six fans per channel. The model I chose only does 30w per channel, which is plenty more than enough, even when I install a water loop. I do agree with you on the Caselabs cases as far as price goes, they are insanely priced. The thing is, the quality is unreal, and for modability and water loops, there simply isn't anything better. Now as far as style goes, that's 100% up to the builder of there cases, I've seen some sexy cases. I specifically remember a build by Snef in the Magnum SMA8 I believe, and he called it like "Blood Angel 2" or something crazy. That build was drop dead gorgeous, I'd look it up, sadly I don't have a link. I thank you for your input. The quick knowledge on fans will prove useful.
  4. The case supports 6 140's, the heatsink will take two, so I need to take two of those fans off..
  5. I plan on tossing almost all the fans the case comes with in the trash, they suck
  6. That case actually supports 4 200mm fans. I don't give a hoot about loud PC's and yes I'm pretty found of fans, but I agree with Leonard, they are kinda useless..
  7. How is that more sexy? Not gonna lie I kinda think that entire thing is ugly... And storage can be upgraded whenever
  8. I decided for price reasons, that I was just gonna wait till later this year when I can afford another 980 and hopefully find a 4k 144hz monitor when they become a little cheaper.
  9. 1. So what if I use a 200 as an exhaust? Apart from that I see your reasoning, but why did you switch to Enermax and Phanteks fans? I don't have any experience with them at all so I'm just curious. Originally I was thinking about using Noctua IndustrialPPC fans, they are by far my favourite, the only problem is they are stupid expensive. The Spectre Pro's are definitely second on my list, especially in looks. 2. Now I have used Liquid Ultra before, and despite it's few faults, I would never use anything else. 3. The reason I chose the higher wattage PSU, was because I was contemplating upgrading to a second 980 Ti, and I am pretty confident that a 750w may not be enough. 4. I can't say I disagree with you much here, the M.2's are fast as hell, but would I have issues with not enough PCI lanes on my CPU if I would x2 SLI? 5. I was intending on adding 2 HDD's in a redundant RAID shortly after I built the rig. So I think there we can add a couple large Seagate drives. 6. Now the fan controller I'm dead set on, I don't know how much experience you have with Fan Controllers, but Lamptron runs the show there. That NZXT is a piece of shit compared to anything Lamptron. So that one I don't quite agree on, and I also have in a Custom thing I added in towards the end, around 5 splitters so I should be good there. How long do the LED's last? I'm very tempted to just go with a full out Caselabs case and wait a few months then water cool it. Not to sure there. And apparently the front of the 820 only supports a 200mm fan ... 10. Let me know what you guys think of this build, I plan on buying it within around a month or so. It will be used for mild rendering, minor 3D modeling, programming, heavy gaming, and graphic design. 11. So AMD is kinda on this boat where they are sticking with more and slower cores kind of like a Xeon, and for the moment, its completely useless. There is no AMD processor on the market that can touch a 4790K and they are not as high quality products as Intel. Simple as that my friend.
  12. I've never done that before, and doubt I ever will since my next build is going to be Devils Canyon. I would love to invest in a 4770K in a few years to see what delidding is like.
  13. That as always been a pain, but it's always given me such amazing results I just stuck with it. As for the latter, that's never been known to me.
  14. Personally I prefer Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra.
