audio quality issues Bad audio quality in recording but not in game (KCD)
Hatsjer replied to Hatsjer's topic in Troubleshooting
As in: Record using a different app? 99% of my recordings are capturing something which already happened. I only know about Nvidia Shadowplay which I can have access to who supports that feature. -
I'm playing Kingdom Come Deliverance (KCD) and I'm using Nvidia shadowplay to capture / record in the game. Sometimes the audio quality in the video is completely normal, other times it is completely airfried. it's 50-50. I don't have bad audio when playing. It is only in the recordings / videos. I have no idea why. KCD seems to be the only game affected by this. Haven't found anything on google. Win 10 64, GTX 1070, i7 7700k, 16 GB.

Yesterday did I get a PS5 controller and successfully paired and connected it to my computer. But after I turn the controller off and on again, won't it connect to my computer via Bluetooth. It works with a cable just fine. I also have a Logitech G604 mouse connected via Bluetooth, and every time I Wake Up my mouse, does it connect just fine. I am only having problems with my PS5 controller. OS is Win 10. Anybody have any idea on what to do?

Whenever I launch AC4 BF, does the game only run on 1 core. I have noticed deselecting CPU 0 in Task Manager Affinity fixes the problem, and the game runs on my remaining 7 cores. But I have to do this every time I launch the game. How can I automatically set the affinity when I launch the game? I have tried looking it up, but I have been unable to find a way which would help me in my situation. Mostly because what I have found relies on the reader having knowledge I do not have. The CPU I have is i7 7700k. Edit: For clarification: I want the game to Run on CPU 1 - CPU 7, but not on CPU 0.

I want to edit a "stats.DAT" file, however, when I open the file with notepad, does it only show this (see picture) Does anybody have any idea what I can do to properly edit the file? The file is from Stronghold Legends. It's the user profile stats data file. Edit: I have tried to look it up, but I only get "use notepad" solutions.

I'll try that now. Thank you for your input.

I woke up my computer from hibernation, and while It was booting up, did I walk away. I returned to a frozen computer, and did a hard reset. I opened up the UEFI BIOS to check on something, and then I went to "last modified" The list was HUGE with almost everything blank lines, and a lot of random Russian and Asian symbols. These dates back to 9th of January 2019. I can't recall anything special. I haven't received any warnings from my antivirus. Should I be concerned? What should I do? MB is Asus prime Z270-A

I'm going to use my computer for a week without my GPU, and see if anything happens. To be sure, am I going to continue playing RS, while watching movies this whole week and see if anything changes.

That could explain the unusual sound I heard. It's a start. Edit: Could a CPU and GPU stress test help verify this?

While watching a movie and playing RS, did my computer have a sudden power loss. Less than 2 seconds afterwards did it re-boot. (I don't know what causes the computer to re-boot after a power loss, and what makes it not re-boot.) This has happened 2 times now. Last Tuesday (10 PM local time) and just now (7 pm) My computer behaves like normal and then, sudden power cut. I believe it might be my PSU but I'm not sure. I have OCed my CPU (now running stock) without problems. Though, this time did I hear a sound just before my computer went black. I'm not sure how to explain the sound. It's sounded like a switch or something. Not something that went *Tick* My computer does make a tick sound while it shuts off and on, but this odd sound came before the tick my computer made. This is very random and unpredictable. Anyone have any idea how I can troubleshoot this? He says there are no clicks from the PSU.

My friends messaged me and asked me to make this post. His computer were idling, when it suddenly and randomly shut down. Absolutely nothing happens when he presses the power button. He was at his couch, close to his computer when it happened. It was a hard power-cut. No system shutdown.

A friend of mine linked me to this ifixit Disassembling Guide and now I know what to do without putting the electronics at risk. For those wondering is it only the G10 + G8 button that I need to "Fix" I can't believe I was foolish enough to think there were no screws.

There are no screws accessible, and I don't want to pop it open. But from my understanding, as long as I let it dry long enough for all of water to dry out, before using it again, should it be fine..?
