  1. FIX!!!! I contacted Support and they suggested 3 things: "Make sure High-Performance Devices, Advanced features, and Auto-Optimize Network are disabled.Settings > Wireless Networks > SSID > Advanced Options > High Performance DevicesSettings > Site > Auto-Optimize NetworkSettings > Site > Advanced features" I had everything already turned off except for "Auto-Optimize Network". That was it. i turned that off and suddenly everything worked like normal. I have no idea what that changed but it works now. Hopefully this helps someone. Thanks to everyone who made suggestions.
  2. I got the EdgeRouter because of the QOS feature. The ISP router has no QOS settings whatsoever and with the internet speed i get, it was very much necessary. The modeom & ER combo never caused a problem in the past so i doubt that is it. Im usre its something to do with the controller. I just dont know how to configure it correctly Tried that on my phone. Static IP, explicitly set Fixed Gateway etc. Now it just jumps in and out.
  3. Yes its also a router but you cant turn the DHCP server off. It is very limited in settings. It never caused an issiue in the pas though. Well im not really sure. It seems to not get an IP but it doesn't really tell me anything. It just kinda...bounces off? It tries and then it stops....Then it retries due to auto connect. basic windows machine. i5, 16Gb Ram. Nothing special. Using it as a ghetto NAS and occasionally as a node to offload resource intensive tasks (lighting builds in UE4). Other than that it just sits there doing nothing until now where the controller software is running.
  4. Hello, I've been running my house on UBNT hardware for a while. I set it up a while ago with 4 APs connected directly to my ISP router. This worked very well and I've been using them ever since without touching the controller software. I added a UBNT EdgerouterX down the line and that was fine too. Today I added another AP to cover a dead spot that is now in use and to set it up, I've had to reinstall that controller software. Ever since I adopted the APs into the controller, all things WIFI have just not worked. The Problem: Some devices stay connected (2 Tablets in the house), others stayed connected for a bit and decided to disconnect later and others instantly dropped connection (a dektop). When you try to connect to any of the APs, windows says that it cant connect and Android just doesn't. No error nothing. Cable connections work like always though. Things I've tried: - Update everything - nope - Various google searches making me change many settings - nothing - Restart of all hardware and software - no luck - reinstall of the software and hard reset of the hardware - same thing - more frustrated googling and I'm all out of ideas. I'm not particularly good at networking but know the basics. This is a step above me seemingly. Im not even sure what information to provide here to help you. Hardware: 5 x UBNT AC Lite (Firmware 4.0.42.10433) 1 x UBNT Edge router X (Firmware 1.10.08) 1 x Generic ISP modem Controller Software running on a Cable PC connected to Edge Router (Version 5.10.25 (Build: atag_5.10.25_11682)) Setup: Internet -> Modem -> EdgeRouter -> Switch -> APs & House EdgeRouter only hands out anything on 255.255.1.X Modem is only on 255.255.255.0.X (which is only the Edge Router) If I understand this correct then the Edge router Should be the DHCP server. I might be understanding something wrong here though since it seems to me like the controller software is emulating a router? Giving out IPs and managing devices etc. If that is the case, that's obviously not going to work but how can i make it work? Attached is the current settings file for the controller. Not sure if that helps. Sorry if this is a bit incoherent. I'm just so much out of ideas. Thank you to anyone willing to give this a think. EDIT: Mini update. Phone decided to connect randomly. Didnt change anything. Just decided to do that now. I took the opportunity to tell it the gateway was the edge router. Still connected. Maybe it is the DHCP settings then? Nevermind. It gets kicked as soon as i try to actually do something now. Again didn't change anything EDIT 2: I had a friend help me and now the Edge router is out of the equation. Current setup is just the ISP modem acting as the DHCP server and router in general. Same Wifi issues persist. After more testing, widows devices seem especially affected by it. Setting a fixed IP and gateway does not improve the situation like on some of the android devices. I have also contacted UBNT support. Will update when i get a response. 5.10.25-20190716-0030.unf
  5. Ok. so general update. Ive ordered a h1001gtx (maybe itll make a difference....) i checked everything that was suggested here (THANX FOR ALL THE HELP MUCH APPRECIATED) and everything is as it should be. from voltage to thermal paste. I cant think of anything else i could check. Ill report back if anything changes but yea. Thanks again anyway You guys are all awesome
  6. Ok. so i was messing with processes and i was messing with Rainmeter and as it turns out, The audio visualizer was refreshing every 1ms. so even though it wasn't my top process it cause that heat. its now down to 58. steam also took 3C off when i closed that. its not cool but its better i guess
  7. I was playing BF4 when i Blue screened. Must have heated it up enough
  8. Thats not true. Ive had 40 on idle for the last 2-3 weeks since i built the thing
  9. Its Stock clock. Stock everything in my system. Im not crazy enough to OC on stock
  10. 70C on idle? that cant be right. I had 40-50 on exact same setup with exact same cooler. After the bluescreen in battlefield, its now at 70. Something must have changed
  11. So i thought id play some Battlefield 4. That didn't go well. I blue screened 3 times. i decided to check my temps and i was idling at 70C!!!!!!! i have no idea why. Using the stock cooler at the moment with 4 corsair 120mm AF fans blowing right at it and i've already taken the sidepannel off and its still at 70. I'm not running any demanding program, just sitting on my desktop. GPU temps are fine so its just the CPU. I dont know whats wrong. Please help! Main System Specs: i7 4790k GTX 980 HOF 16GB Corsair Dominator 2133MHz 1000W Fractal design Platinum+ PSU (i know its a lot. Planning on expansion) EDIT: Fixed Rainmeter refresh rate and took it down to 55. Tried BF4. Still overheat and blue screen Any help is appreciated. Thanx in advance
  12. So i cant use the UV reactive tubing then. Alright. This will work as well i suppose. Thank you for the help
  13. Thanx. I was planning to use this tubing though http://www.frozencpu.com/products/20516/ex-tub-1856/primochilll_12_OD_ri#blank If there's a 1/4" version of that tubing that ive missed ,then thank you so much for finding these for me. If not then are there 1/2" versions of those fittings? That's the things i couldn't find
  14. Haha. That's EXACTLY what i'm worried about. I cant find any angled fittings though. Do you know of any? Or at least a way to avoid bending?
  15. Hhhhhmmmmmm. Good to know. I think soft tubing makes it look a bit messy. That's why i went with rigid in the first place. i think i'll try my luck with bending. How hard can it really be... Cool. I think that's it unless you can think of anything else that' potentially wrong with my plan. I contacted Parvum about the custom parts and if they don't have them, Ill get them cut out by someone who knows how to properly. Also i'll try fit in a 240mm at the front of the case. I think that should give me enough cooling. Thanks for all the help SuperPug
