1. Budget & Location Location: Bulgaria (europe) It'll probably be around the $2000 mark total. My budget is flexible, I don't care if I have to save up more to buy the stuff 2. Aim Mostly photoshop and after effects. I play games from time to time, but I can always upgrade my GPU if I need them to run better. I want to get a 9900k, a gtx 1060 (for now) and 32gigs of ram (need to be able to upgrade to 64 down the line) The hard part for me is deciding on a case, mobo and cooling, it seems like there are so many options and I have a hard time filtering through them. I will need space for more or less any video card I want to put in there (if I upgrade that in the future), and a few 2.5" and m.2 drives. So it will probably have to be a midtower, anything that looks nice and clean (simple). A see-through side panel is a bonus. No rgb needed. I would like it to be quiet, but not water cooled as I might move it around every once in a while. I would get an ITX if there's not performance downside and there's splace for the components. Will probably not be doing heavy overclocking. 3. Monitors My primary monitor is 1440p, 60hz 4. Peripherals no need, and no need for windows 5. Why are you upgrading? Currently using an acer predator 17" laptop (6700hq, 980m) as my daily driver, which barely moves from my desk anyway, so thinking of replacing it with this desktop (and possibly just selling it and buying a portable laptop)

Hey, I work as a marketing artist and sometimes need to make trailers or other video content for our game. I want to get better at making trailers but I'm having trouble finding good educational content about cinematography. A lot of it boils down to technical tips and tricks which don't apply to me since I use virtual cameras and don't have many limitations. What I'm interested in is more like which shots to choose and how to make them flow from one to another seamlessly. I was wondering if brandon or any cinematographer can point me in the right direction for places I/other people can learn from. Thanks.

Most of the time it's IRQL or ntoskrnl, sometimes system exceptions, sometimes things like intelppm, I've mostly been plugged in at home to all my stuff since that's where it seems stable (as in it doesn't crash at all), but before I clean installed windows i had wdf violations, system thread exceptions, dxgmms2, kernel security check failure... most of the time still irql or ntoskrnl

What else is there to reset, I had the laptop crash on me for the first time literally a day after i did a clean install of windows with all the drivers and programs. I'm open to suggestions.

Update: Maybe it has nothing to do with the battery Laptop was working fine not connected to anything except the power Then just blue screened multiple times while trying to do the shift restart thing to get into safe mode it worked the third time Then i restarted, blue screened twice when on this page trying to post an update. Got a nice old video_dxgkrnl_fatal_error as well. I then replugged all my stuff in (2 monitors, peripherals) and it's working fine again. I can try using the display driver uninstaller and reinstalling my intel and nvidia stuff, but I mean I did a clean install of all of that a few days ago...

Hey, I had a bunch of kernel issues so i did a full reformat and reinstall of windows. Most hings work, but: If i'm on battery power (aka i disconnect the power adapter from the wall), i get an instant blue screen 2 seconds later, or a few seconds after booting. BUT, the laptop works perfectly fine, even on battery, when it's in safe mode. All drivers and firmware is updated, only things I haven't tried are reflashing bios/firmware (It's on the newest version but I don't know, could it be improperly installed somehow?), and there's also a battery reset button under my laptop, don't know what good that would do. I'm kinda lost on ideas though, could it be video card drivers? both my nvidia and intel ones are updated and work fine when plugged into wall. can give logs but i'm pretty sure it's just kernel errors and the like, the last one was ntoskrnl.exe, spbCx.sys and win32kbase.sys crashing on me.

Ok so I reinstalled from scratch (as in I made a USB drive, formatted and installed from there). The first time I did the windows reset this PC thing, which loads the default acer programs and whatnot. So hopefully things work out with the clean install, I'll post if I run into problems again. I'll check the drive with seatools as well, thx for the suggestion.

Windows starts up, works for 10 seconds and then BSODs. It's always kernel errors, drivers, system thread exceptions, wdf violations, etc did a sfc, windows repairs, reinstalled windows. Everything worked for a day. The next day, back to blue screens. I tried updating what drivers I can, sfc, memchecks, clean boots, nothing works. I can run the computer in safe mode but that's about it. booting without any programs or services on are the same thing. Just did ANOTHER reset, (reset windows with keeping user files), but that yields the same problem, only without the day of it working. I'll try resetting windows without keeping files, and hopefully that works, but in the meantime any suggestions would be very welcome.

Yeah I know that exists, the only reason I didn't get one to start off with is because of the big ass predator logo It is around £30 cheaper than the everki bags recommended here, and it looks somewhat more secure, so might end up getting it in the end.

Hey, I need a backpack for uni and general purpose travelling that fits a predator 17", which is pretty damn large.. I bought a wenger 17" pegasus, but it was too small to close the laptop compartment So I returned it and got a wenger IBEX 17", which is slightly larger, but due to its tapered off top end it's really difficult to close the latch and the corners of the laptop will probably get worn out (also the fact that my k70 is too long to fit in the second compartment. Soooo I need something bigger Any recommendations? Or should I just go with the acer proprietary one (even though I'm really not a fan of the GIANT predator logo on the back... I tried posting in mobile devices, but 0 replies. Also searched the forum, couldn't find anything from the first few posts. I live in the UK. Thanks.
