  1. Hello there, I have beaten my old score with a 125x 39 multiplier setup at 1.38V on air with 4790k CPU. IT is 4.875 GHz with a 989 cinebench score. I'm pretty proud of this score. WIshed I could hit 1k it is so close You can see my linked score. Here I go!
  2. I am using a Asus Z97-A board, it has pretty decent feature. Well, I use a noctua NH-U14S as my cooling and 3 outake top+bottom and 2 intake front as my cooling. that's pretty mid range cooling so I'm not sure that's the best idea to go to 1.6V hehehe. Realtemp indicated me 91C on 4.9 + 1.325V when I was doing the intel burn test at 4.9 so going over 1.4 seems a bit extreme with my actual cooling solution. I had my cinebench score on my desk with a closed casing but once it hit aroud minus 10C to minus 20 outside I guess I'll put my PC near the outside open door to cool it a few minutes before I turn it on, then may be I'll be able to stabilise enaugh on 4.9 over 1.4V for a Cinebench run. DO you think that would be a good idea?
  3. Best I could do at about 4.85 GHZ by boosting my block by 1% with a multiplier of 48, I bested my previous score by a small margin, but I dont want to go to 1.4 since my bios put that margin in the red color hahahaha.
  4. Here is mine, thought I can pass intel burn test at 4.9 it can't do cinebench So here is cinebench at 4.8
  5. Well here is what I've got, 4.9 multiplier with a voltage of 1.325 wich is about 10% more than what I would be confortable to use, my temps gots really high, I was able to complete the intel burn test at 1.3 too but it wasn't really that stable, it sometimes BSOD. I had some results in some test going over 132 G flops but I suspect with those temps I must throttle so I am averaging about 131 G flops. So, I think that it is possible to go to 5 with aircooler, probly with cryorig r1 ultimate or noctua NH-D15, but my cooler is already compromising my motherboard well enaugh and I'm comfortable at 4.7Ghz with it as an ok OC at 1.235V with temps around 65 C to 70 C with intelburn test. My motherboard is an asus Z97-A motherboard and my power supply is a really good EVGA 850W supernova gold certified. My casing is a NZXT phantom410, I like it's airflow and design. Graphic card, gigabite gtx970 g1 and my memory 4x 8 GB ballistix tactical low profile at 2133 - 10-9-10-1t 5GHZ air is possible, intel was right, but, I guess only 5% of the chip can, it is luck of the draw.
  6. Hello there, I got my 4790k recently, I'm on air, using noctua NH-14US only one Fan and here's what I got here using 1.27V at 48 Multiplier. Note that this setup pass intel burn test as shown in image but it can't do prime95 well it makes a BSOD with the blend test(not the small fft) I was able to get 47X 101 for 4.749 stable with prime 95 no BSOD with about the same voltage. My temps show I should go higher with my multiplier but hell I'm going to test it right now! see you soon if my CPU lives throught it.
