  1. The Galax Website? Google it
  2. It looks like the EVGA GTX 970 FTW has the same GPU clock, and only slightly slower boost clock, as well as its 3 inches shorter (2fan). Would that be a better idea?
  3. So I'm looking into buying a new graphics card. I'm planning on waiting to compare the R9 300 series to the 970s. BUT my question is this. If I decide on a 970, Is the Galax HOF 970 worth it. I was originally looking at the G1 Gaming, but the Galax seems to out preform it AND it perfectly matches my case and inside color scheme. Is the premium price worth it or will I be equally satisfied with the G1 Windforce 970?
  4. Just wanted to update this and say I ended up getting the 23in Version of this last weekend and I LOVE It to death. Looks FREAKING Great, and 23in is like perfect size for things.
  5. So this is what I'm pretty set on getting at the moment: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009590 Its got - 27" IPS - Glass Screen - GREAT port connectivity (minus DP but w/e) - The aesthetics are SUPER nice imo, fits my style - 5ms response time - stand looks good and while may not be movable, thats fine with me ALSO wouldn't plan on dual monitor setups anytime soon SO that being said, Is there any reason I should not get this?
  6. I also wanted to say that usually glare isn't a major issue while gaming, and it depends on if your monitor is facing the light source. And for movies, why would you ever watch a movie in a well lit room. Theres a reason movie theaters are very dark with only dim light.
  7. Well Glass, while it may have glare looks so so much better than a crappy matte. Also, it shouldn't get a yellow tone unless you use yellow light, which I hate. I also do understand input lag as well as response time. I don't do console gaming almost ever, I just wanted to make sure that If for some reasons I wanted to, I could use it with a console. I also think that dell ascetically looks like trash.
  8. I wasn't aware of IPS screens under 5ms?
  9. The Acer one I posted appears to A. Look better to me, but B. have similar specs, be larger, and has a 5ms delay also
  10. Hey! Tell me about this, I'm quite interested in it http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009590 Yeah its a 27 but w/e Go big or go home
  11. What do we think about this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009590 ?
  12. Any verdicts on this one? http://www.amazon.com/AOC-i2367Fh-23-Inch-Frameless-LED-Lit/dp/B009V8F700/ref=sr_1_23?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1416523093&sr=1-23&keywords=IPS
  13. So reasons why these and not others?!
  14. So I need help choosing a monitor. I've determined that as a non-professional gamer, I dont really need 144hz. So I've decided to get an IPS. Bullet points: - Under $250 - IPS Panel - Preferably 23-24in - At least one HDMI for console compatibility - at least 1080p - Low response time as I WILL USE FOR FPS GAMES That about covers it, happy hunting and thank you for the help Also, please try to say why your choice is the best and what sets it apart from a different one
  15. To follow that up, I literally just got done looking at a friends monitor which was the VG248QE and I couldn't tell the difference between the 1ms 144hz and my old 8ms 60hz aside from the fact it looked just a tad bit smoother overall (which may be because he runs a better g card than I currently do. So since I haven't been on something fast would it just be better to forgo getting that so I can enjoy the color and movie viewing quality of an IPS? Since it will still likely be faster than what I'm used to?
