  1. depends what resolution you're running at. i've seen noone talk about resolution from just scanning this thread. at 1080p 760, 770 if you want to make sure you're at max frames. anything beyond 1080p i'd check some benchmarks Nvidia have released the latest series of cards so everyone is getting a Nvidia card atm. Amd are due to release some soon, so if you're not getting a card now, wait to see what AMD bring out. they usually have cards that are cheaper then Nvidia and can sometimes offer more then their rivals happy buying
  2. that's fair play buddy :p even if a site isnt trust worthy, i'd literally say its only a few bucks (feels like im repeating the same post lol!) personally i do all my computer part building through SCAN and AMAZON. though im from the UK so i'm not sure what it'd be like in the good old US of A p.s Welcome to the forum
  3. with aesthetics and functionality in mind, i'd pick the FD one. i dont personally like the look of the c70, and i only trust bitfenix for a few things, excluding cases. so my opinion is the FD. like others have said, they're all relatively similar
  4. to be honest matey, 120gb ssd and a good brand and then a 2-3tb harddrive, being seagate or WD, and i wouldnt do anything less. any "ghetto" fitting for HDD will just cause problems due to vibrations etc. could cause you to lose alot data if the hdd isnt securely mounted. i know this might not be in your budget, but save for it, dont cheap out. there will be problems down the line otherwise
  5. the fact that amazon is should suggest that you should just go with them but if you're asking if the product is trust worthy, being only a few bucks i'd suggest its worth a try. you wont lose alot if they're not good :p
  6. even then a gt620 is probably overkill. a hd5450 or something as lp and passive cooling would suffice beyond belief
  7. eww, would never buy a repaired object tbh. a standard that i try and hold in most situations :p
  8. i live in the UK, and so we dont use that term often. so im still unclear what this means? an additional Q&A test?
  9. rma? and i've only just heard about this now, though this might only be for the reviewers headset and not a generalised thing
  10. watched the linus video before, and i liked the second video. however these videos only describe the headphones, not the headset. the headset is the kraken pro
  11. So i have this headset on order, yet to be dispatched, so please post anything ASAP i like pretty much everything about this headset, the fact it can be used on the go, the audio jacks and the general look. though apparently, the headset breaks and the mic gets all static-y so basically, if any of you have heard any good/bad news about this headset, let me know asap, as i know the reviews ive read might just be fluke headsets many thanks iWearKiltz
  12. On and off. Been raining a lot lately with local flooding, but apparently 29-30c Thursday and Friday!
  13. Using an app on my tablet, otherwise I would of course :-) Will do this when I get on my of in the morning (I'm gmt timezone)
  14. No problem. Found it easily enough on amazon. And man oh man. I like this keyboard! You deserve a medal and to be treated to some cookies and milk! Thanks for the suggestion :-)
  15. Lacks the functionality that I've said to @bchampion96
  16. Thanks for the suggestion, looked at that, it's like a good quality barebones mech keyboard. Lacks the functionality of media keys and macro (though not massively fussed about these) along with maybe some pretty back lighting
  17. So cheap they'd probably break in two days. Nice suggestions, but if I'm to buy a mech keyboard, it'll have to be a good quality one. Don't want it breaking straight after purchasing lol!
  18. Its not functional to have your hand or two hands stretching across the keyboard mid game. I have media keys bound to my mouse, but the functional whore I am, I want them on my next keyboard too. I'm asking for peoples recommendations based on my requirements, so if you're going to just complain about how I live my own life, please stop lol. Anyways, mech or dome? And whatcha recommend?
  19. Yeah so media buttons, but none of them being derpy two button press ones, like fn+f7 or anything like that. Dedicated Media buttons basically
  20. So I know people always bang on about mechanical keyboards, and I've yet to try one (though I know I'll be choosing cherry MX browns), but honestly, for media and gaming, I see more functionality with membrane keyboards (the rubber dome ones, like the roccat isku or the Microsoft sidewinder series), and they're a hell of a lot cheaper. So based on your opinion, with not just gaming use in mind, what should I be choosing, a dome keyboard, or a mechanical one that costs twice as much?
  21. when you step up to the 27-30" screen size, you should always be considering either 1440p or 1600p.
  22. okay thanks guys will pass this on to my friend who asked
  23. Hey guys so i've been looking at closed waterloops and decided that a custom water loop was better for me. i was planning on having a cpu+gpu block (with the possibility of adding a second gpu later on) and was wondering what was the best 'kit' to go with. so what parts do you guys recommend, what brands and parts should i really be looking at. just fyi, i have a chaser mk1 case, 7970s and im using the lga1155 sockets this is for my friend :p
  24. hi guys, so today i performed a fresh install of windows onto my new ssd, but my screen isnt scaling right. so i went to open up catalyst control centre and this popped up i've tried repairing the install to the catalyst centre, checked for new drivers. the same error persists. please, i'd like any suggestions
